Saiki removed his ring at the end of class in order to avoid any unwanted incidents. In other words, you.
He expected you to talk to him or try to be friends with him, but all you did was gather your things and get going, nicely telling everyone who talked to you that you didn't want to be late. He didn't mind and did the same.
It was during sports that he took notice of you again.
Your hair was in a ponytail. Your thighs gifted with black shorts, showing off your well-toned runner's legs. You had a knack for working out, your figure surprisingly gorgeous once that baggy school shirt was taken off and replaced with a tank top. Saiki noticed this, his mouth slightly parted for a fleeting second. I was just surprised, that's all. He thought, closing his mouth.
You were across the field, past a fence that separated girls from boys. Saiki found himself resenting that fence.
As a soccer player, you owned the field. Though you lacked happy feet, your kicks were filled with precision and perfection; it was like watching a professional. Saiki tried focusing on his own class, but his eyes kept drifting towards you.
That girl is amazing...Came the thought of Hairo. Saiki noticed him pressed against the fence, staring with the same passion he always has. She handles balls so well, I wonder what she'd do with mine..
Saiki stared, kinda grossed out. Kick them, too, probably. He thought.
"Watch out!" Came the sudden voice of a random girl. The soccer ball had been kicked over the fence, heading straight for Saiki's head.
Good grief. Do I let it hit me? Do I change its course? I could just move. Less trouble-
With a speed even God couldn't comprehend, you jumped the six foot fence and managed to kick the ball back to the girls just a few seconds before it hit Saiki. You cursed yourself for using your omnipotence to enhance your speed.
Landing gracefully, you looked at the pink man. You stared stoically for a moment as you evaluated him. You didn't notice how close you stood next to him.
Saiki felt your pink glow increase in size, enveloping him. You don't like talking to people, huh? Oh, a strong sweet tooth, as well. Your idea of fun is definitely sitting in your room, alone, with coffee jelly.
Saiki looked at you. His face was monotone, but he was in shock. His body wanted you to get closer, but he couldn't pinpoint why.
You had left your thigh strap in the locker room so you could read a few people. People were almost like books to you, except you weren't a fan of flipping through some pages. Dark stuff in a lot of people.
Yikes, have I been staring for too long? He might get the wrong idea.
You quickly gave him a small nod and dashed away, elegantly making your way over the fence again.
Hairo's jaw was hanging by his feet as he watched you go. I am going to make that girl my b-
Saiki left to go change.
Hairo definitely meant to say bride.

A month had passed, and your reputation had grown immensely. Everyone saw you as a mysterious beauty, one that never really spoke out, but managed to get everyone's attention with a small sigh. You never once tried speaking or befriending Saiki, which he found great, but.
Saiki couldn't stop staring at you. He sensed something was off.
He saw the way you tried so hard to be normal, but he kept feeling that you weren't. He could never confirm this because of how secretive you were and how you never talked to him.
You dropped your pencil. It rolled right under Saiki's seat. Saiki's finger twitches as he feels the need to pick it up for you, but he really didn't want to stir attention. You looked him in the eyes.
He doesn't want attention. I can just pick it up, but that feels awkward. You shrug, getting up and reaching under his seat. For some reason, Saiki put his foot over your pencil. A small image forms in his mind; an image of you bending down like that for other reasons. He brushes it off as the thought of one of the surrounding males.
Talk to me. He mentally urges, not breaking eye contact. Frankly, you didn't want to grant any desires today. It's not your fault your thigh strap was in the wash.
You grab his leg, still looking at him, and attempt to lift it. Saiki feels tingles run up his spine at your touch, and he doesn't budge, but you hear a snap under his foot.
Just wait until I step on your neck and break it the same way you did to my pencil. You mentally fumed, getting up. Saiki found that resentment a little...enticing. He watched you walk over to your seat, his eyes wandering without even thinking.
He quickly looked outside instead, wondering why he looked at you that way. I looked at her because I want her to speak to me. To figure her out like I have everyone else. Yes, that's why.
The bell rang soon after, signaling lunch. A certain bluenette was working up the courage to speak with you.
"E-Excuse me, ____," stuttered Kaidou. You whirled around to face him, your hair spinning with you to perfectly frame your face. You nod at him so he can continue. "Would you like to eat lunch with me?"
You stared at him intently.
"O-of course it won't just be me! Um, Nendou will be there and some of my other friends! Haha..." Kaidou fidgeted with his bandages. Saiki looked at you from afar, waiting to hear your voice again. You gave Saiki a quick glance before looking at Kaidou again.
"Yeah, that sounds fun," you beamed, smiling. As the class gasped at your kindness, Saiki felt agitated that you chose to speak to Kaidou and not him.
After everyone left the classroom, Saiki picked up the remains of your pencil and apported it. A fresh, new pencil lay on your desk as he, too, left to go eat.
With you, he hoped.
