Things Aren't Ever The Same

(A/N: before i get into the chapter, just wanted to say sorry for the lack of updates and how slow the last few chapters have been. I just kinda lost interest in the game and lost ideas for the story. But I got more ideas and I will get back to updating as soon as I can. Now onto the story!)

Over the next few days, you had begun to catch glimpses of a little girl in all black. She had told you about being 'sisters' and all the things you would do together. Asking Lucas questions got you nowhere, because all he would do is either barely answer the question, or just ignore it overall. Although, today was the first day Lucas had shown any type of affection at all. So that was a plus.

You were watching over the monitors when he came up behind you and just wrapped his arms around you and rested his head on your shoulder. This caused a blush to rise to your cheeks, and you leaned into him. His skin was cold to the touch, surprising when it is the middle of spring in Louisiana, but it didn't really bother you.

"Did ya find anything?" he asked while holding you closer.

"Not really. Just the normal snakes and bugs" he grunted in response as he buried his head into the crook of your neck.

"Lucas? Wh-what are you doing?"

"Does it matter? I know you've liked me for a long time, Y/N" he said as he spun your chair around to face him, putting his hands on the arms of the chairs. This basically trapped you between him and the chair. You felt your cheeks start to burn more.

"Aw, yer blushin'!"

"Lucas, what are you planning to do?"

"God damn Y/N, isn't obvious?" he said as he took your head into his hands. Lucas pulled you towards him and smashed his lips against yours. You froze up for a moment before returning the kiss. This was the moment you had been waiting for, for the longest time you could remember. Granted, you had been wanting to date him also, but that didn't matter now. You slowly pulled away from the kiss as did Lucas.

"All flustered over just a tiny kiss, aint ya?" you would never admit it, but this had been one of the few kisses you ever had.

"Shut the fuck up, Lucas" you retorted. He just chuckled.

"Love ya too Y/N" for some reason, only one question remained in your mind.

"Hey, Lucas?"

"Hm?"

"What does this make us?" this confused Lucas

"What do you mean by that?"

"I mean what does this make us? Like are we together? Are we just friends?" this amused him, he took pride in confusing people, especially you because he thought a confused look made you look damn cute.

"I prefer the term, together. But whatever, we can be whatever you think it's worth" he said as he gave you a hug, which you gladly returned.

(Another A/N: sorry if Lucas might be too OOC. We don't get to see much of him in the game)
