Craig's PoV

Continued from previous chapter.

I woke up a few hours later, with the light from my window hitting me in the face.

I groaned, rolling over onto my side. I immediately regretted it and winced from the pain. I scowled before going back to my original position on my back. I stared longingly up at the ceiling. I wanted to get out of the house for the day, but didn't really have a place to go.

I could always take Ruby to go hang out with Karen and see if Kenny wanted to hang out if he wasn't busy banging Kyle. Plus, I could always talk to him about my little sexuality dilemma, seeing as how he'd probably relate.

I rolled out of bed carefully, heading to the bathroom with a bottle of concealer. If I was going out, I'd better look decent. It wouldn't help the situation if someone started putting two and two together.

I made it to the mirror, and was utterly surprised at how my face looked now.

My entire left cheek was a dark blue in color, right under my eye. Thank god that I didn't have a black eye though. I had a few cuts on my mouth, and a scratch on my other cheek, that had already closed up.

I didn't want to look at my stomach to see the bruising, but I chose to anyway.

I lifted up my shirt, sucking in a load of air.

My entire right side was yellow and green. My other side was a dark blue. At least I was starting to heal a little. I then moved to my leg. It had been kicked and stepped on. I gingerly rolled up my pant leg, to see the same coloration that was on my right side. I breathed out, happy that for right now, nothing seemed broken.

I applied the makeup to my facial wounds, and went back to my room to get changed.

I threw on my hat and a dark Red Racer hoodie. I changed into a pair of soft pants, and threw on some dark converse.

I grabbed my phone and wallet, and went to Ruby's room. I knocked quietly, and waited for a reply. She quickly opened the door, and took in my outfit.

"There's no way in hell that I'm letting you go outside today. Back to bed, now." she said firmly, carefully nudging me to my room.

I rolled my eyes and flipped her off.

"I'm taking you to go see Karen, now shut up, and let's go." I said, gently grabbing her wrist and tugging her towards the stairs. This earned a small blush from my now flustered sister.

"W-why Karen's? She usually comes over here." Ruby said, avoiding eye contact as we made out way out the front door.

I decided to stay quiet for a minute, thinking of what to say, when I just went 'screw it.'

"I need to talk to Kenny about something, and I'm not going to leave you in that hell hole in case one of them decides to come home early." I said, quickening my pace slightly. Ruby only nodded before falling instep beside me.

We remained quiet as we made our way slowly through a town we both loved yet hated. Once we got to the rail road tracks, I pulled out my phone and motioned for Ruby to slow down.

On the second ring, Kenny picked up.

"Hey, Fucker. What's up?" he said, sounding rather bored.

"Is Karen at your house?" I said in my signature monotone voice. I heard a slight dramatic gasp.

"What about me? Is this some ploy to get in my pants? I thought you'd never ask." he said, mocking me.

I scowled before saying, "Dude, not the time. I'm dropping off Ruby, and we need to talk." I said, rubbing the bridge of my nose. I heard Ruby chuckle beside me and I quickly flipped her off. She returned it with an evil smirk.
