Memories (Newt x Reader~Final Book In Newt x Reader Series)

(Newt's POV)

I wake up to the smell of delicious eggs and bacon. I sit up in my bed and admire my dream room, when I had first came to Heaven, I was greeted by Chuck. He took me to this house and showed me around, he then took me to town to see Alby and Winston. 

Then hours later, I noticed an empty room had stuff in it. I was confused until Teresa showed up, and now I live with Teresa and Chuck in this beautiful home.

I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen to see Teresa cooking, I then walk into the dining room and see Chuck ready to eat. "Morning Chuck, sleep well?" I ask as I sit next to him. "Yep! Just like every other night!" He says back, I smile and look out the window to the beautiful field surrounding the house, and the beautiful lake in the middle of all of it.

"Okay, eat up!" I hear Teresa say, I look back and see Teresa bringing breakfast to us. She then sits in front of Chuck and eats as well. I notice how in the middle of eating Teresa just stops, "everything alright Teresa?" I ask her, she looks up to me with wide eyes. "Did I ever tell you guys what WICKED did to me and Y/N." Teresa says with a serious tone.

I never liked Y/N and WICKED in the same sentence, so now I'm worried. "No...what happened?" I ask focused on the conversation, "WICKED did something to our minds, I don't know exactly what they did but, in the end. We could talk telepathically." Teresa explains, I ponder on the thought. "Telepathically? Like in your mind?" Chuck asks, and Teresa nods. 

"Wait. So is that why you two always stared and smirked at each other?" I ask Teresa, "yep! We were usually joking about relationships and other stuff." She answers, I smile remembering those times in the glade.

"Why did you bring up the topic anyway?" I ask her, she looks down at her plate as if I said something wrong. "She said something." Teresa answers, I'm suddenly filled with excitement and confusion at the same time. "Wh---what did she say?" I ask her, she looks to me with a serious look. "Newt." 

I run my hand through my hair thinking why Y/N would say my name, is she in trouble? Does she miss me? Ya know what, I need some time alone. 

"I'm gonna go to my room" I say before getting up and heading back to my room, when I get to my room I plop down onto my bed. The only thing on my mind is Y/N, I miss her so much.

I looked at my clock and see it's almost the middle of the day, I decide to go into town and get my mind off of things. "I'm heading into town!" I yell from the front door, "Okay!" I hear Teresa yell back, I then head out the door and down the path to town.

~~Time Skip~~

About thirty minutes later, I finally reached town. I didn't need anything so I just walked on the sidewalk looking at all the people and stores. I suddenly spotted a familiar face in the crowd of people. "Alby!" I yell getting his attention, he looked to me and waved. I walked over to him and gave him a hug, glad to see him.

"Hey Newt, how ya been?" He asks me, "I'm good. How are you?" I ask him back, he says he's good and suggest we go and get lunch together, I agree with him and we end up eating at a jungle themed restaurant which reminded me of the glade.

"Is it just me or does this restaurant remind you of the glade?" I hear Alby ask, I look to him and smile. "Yeah it does!" I say to him looking around the restaurant.

We had finally got our food and began to eat until Alby brought up a certain topic. "So do you miss her?" He asks, I almost choked on my food knowing he was talking about Y/N. "Yeah...I really do, and I hope she's having the time of her life." I say back thinking of all the great things she could be doing.

"So what do you think Thomas is doing?" He asks changing the topic, I laugh at the thought of him. "Probably getting himself in trouble!" I say, Alby begins to laugh at the thought of Tommy. 

After lunch, we walked around town just talking and laughing about the good times in the glade. "Well I think it's time I head home." Alby says, "yeah me too." I say to him.

"It was good seeing you Newt" Alby says putting his hand on my shoulder, "you too Alby. Until next time!" I say walking home. I hear Alby laugh as I turn my back to him.

~~Time Skip~~

"Teresa, Chuck, I'm home!" I yell as I enter the front door, there was no answer. I walked upstairs but I suddenly started to hear music from Teresa's room, I get closer and realize the door is shut. I quietly open it and see Teresa and Chuck dancing, I smile but before I walk away I see someone jump off of Teresa's bed joining Chuck and Teresa. It was Y/N.

I open the door wide enough and I can feel my heart explode. Teresa turns to me which causes Y/N to look the same direction. She immediately stops dancing and a big smile comes over her face, I return the smile before running to her as she does the same. 

She jumps into my arms and wraps her legs around me, "tell me this is real." I say looking into her beautiful E/C eyes. But instead of answering she smashes her lips onto mine, but soon pulls away. "Was that real enough?" She asks, I then put my lips back onto hers. I can't believe she's really here.

I then put her down and ask, "how did you get here?" She sighs before saying, "I'll tell you later. But lets dance!" She then grabs my hand and drags me towards Teresa and Chuck as they continue to dance.

~~Time Skip~~

After all the dancing it was time for dinner, Y/N and Teresa were in the kitchen cooking why I sat with Chuck in the dining room. "You really did miss her, didn't you?" Chuck asks, I nod looking into the kitchen to see Y/N cooking.

A few minutes later they both came in setting down the food, Y/N sat next to me and I put my hand in hers. We all ate and laughed, enjoying the company of one another.

By now, almost everyone as already asleep. I was laying in my bed reading a book that I had got in town. 

I then heard a knock on my door, I went up to open it and saw Y/N. She was in shorts with a large t-shirt.

"Hey Newtie, may I come in?" She says, I nod and let her in. I move back to my bed as she looks around my room, she then sits in front of me on the bed looking into my eyes.

"I think I'm gonna tell you why I'm here." She says looking at her hands, I sit up straighter and hold her hands. "Y/N you don't have to, it's really not that big of a deal." I say, but she shakes her head no and begins.

"Back in the last city, when you were, a crank. You had bit me, I luckily survived throughout The Safe Haven until me, Thomas, Brenda, Jorge, and Minho, needed to head back to the last city. When we were there, that's when I really started to turn. And one night I went out, as a crank. And Thomas found me, and I knew I was going to hurt him. So I did what was best." By now, Y/N was in tears. And I was too.

"Y/N, don't tell me you committed..." But before I could say more, she nodded her head. "I'm sorry Newtie, but it had to be done." She says with even more tears rolling down her face. 

I pulled her into a hug, comforting her. And for the rest of the night we stayed like that, until.

"I love you Newtie." I hear her say, I can feel my heart explode once again. I haven't heard those words in such a long time. "I love you too Y/N, and I always will. Forever." I say back, she then looks to me, "forever?" She says with a smile, I nod.

She then cups her cheeks onto mine and pulls me in for a kiss, and for the rest of the night we stayed with each other. I was happy, and she was happy. And now we have each other forever.
