Whatever happens, don't give up. Things like the job search process can be grueling, but don't get overwhelmed and do a little day by day. There's a major life hack right there if there ever was one, never giving up. That sounds like a cliched platitude but it will revolutionize your life if you learn how to never give up. Multi-millionaire businessman Grant Cardone has bad days just like anyone. He's not much different from you or me but that man never gives up! I recommend reading his books if you get a chance, it's a solid way to get a killer 'can do' attitude and take life by the horns. I read his book The 10X Rule and it was very informative.
There are always feasts in the famine. Driving about town I see a few now-hiring signs. In the worst of things there is still hope. If the job search process is driving you batty know that there are still jobs out there. The first one you get may not be what you had in mind, but you can kind of leapfrog from job to job while you are still steadily making progress to your dream job. And don't get too bummed out. There's more to life than just work and money. In this time of crisis I've really stopped and enjoyed the little things. I'm realizing again how beautiful Colorado is. I love going on walks and admiring nature and the clouds; talking to God and practicing the Buddhist art of mindfulness.
Whatever your circumstance you can choose to be happy. Take me for instance; I'm broke, don't have a job, uncertain about the future, super introverted, socially awkward, single :( , I have really bad anxiety, and sometimes depression. I just try and take all my problems to God and let Him worry about them. I try my best to just enjoy the moment and keep the right perspective on things. Worst case scenario is that I die, but then I'm in Heaven with God! Heaven is going to be awesome! No more death, tears, suffering, pain of loss. Only eternal joy. And anyone can go to Heaven. They just need to trust in Jesus. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Jesus is the perfect depiction of God in human form. I am so glad that God is a god of love.
If you are ever feeling down just remember that Jesus knows what you're going through. He is your closest friend, closer than any brother or sister. He went through some terrible ordeals himself. He was betrayed by one of his closest friends. He was rejected by the people He came to save. His own family didn't believe Him and rejected Him. And finally he was wrongfully convicted as a criminal and died an excruciating death by crucifixion. Of course that's not the end of the story. After three days He was resurrected and He sits enthroned in Heaven. He knows this world can be a dark, bleak world of suffering sometimes.
But He has overcome the world. He has single-handedly defeated death and Satan and made it possible for you and I to go to Paradise to be with Him when we die. That is the greatest thing that we can do in this life. To tell others who don't know, the goods news of what Jesus has done for them. This is one of our chief objectives on this earth and if you are looking for meaning or purpose, there you go. There is no greater joy than seeing something you share the good news with accept Christ as their savior, as they pass from death unto life. To see their eyes light up and a smile spread across their face as their eternal salvation is secured, and they at last have purpose and peace. Our life here is a passing shadow. That's why these present-day sufferings are bearable because they are temporary. All things in this world are temporary. If you truly want to live a meaningful life of purpose and peace, it can only be found in Christ. He is the wellspring of everlasting life. Come to the waters and drink. Refresh your weary soul. His yoke is easy and his burden is light. All who are weary, come to Him and He will give you rest. "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28 (KJV).
