Derek shifted up to sixth, flying down Park. V.I. called in a robbery in progress, the city hall bank, he had to neutralize the situation before local authorities were called, he was notified twenty minutes after Hayden drank that demons blood.

"This oughta be fun." As V.I.'s third chapter agent, and leader of his section, he was in charge of some of the more high profile - vampire - crimes in his area, and although this specific incident didn't involve vampires, V.I. - as it is, was the majority shareholder in this particular chain of establishments, owning more than half the companies shares through and behind the corporate veil of multiple shell corporations, and so, it was imperative to V.I. that the establishment's holdings be looked after carefully by the corporation's top professionals. The local P.D. would never catch these guys, nor would the Feds when they pick it up, and some of the largest of the corporation's investments were at stake, there was one thing to do, and that's why they called him.

As Derek sped through the city, coming up upon the bank in question, he noticed there were no cars out front, nor in the alley right next to it, the alley which - after turning off his lights - he pulled into.

He was always prepared for jobs like this, no matter what situation he found himself in. He was always resourceful, a skill that allowed him to quickly advance through his earlier years in the business.

He parked and turned the car off. As he contemplated he pulled thin leather gloves out of the center console and put them on. Then he grabbed a small black box out of the glove department and waited for a second, it had a Glock and a suppressor in it, he took it out, screwed on the suppressor and put the gun in a holster under his jacket, took the keys out of the ignition and sat there for a moment, eyes closed.

His job was to get rid of the bodies and make it look like no one was ever there, but if something went wrong he had to improvise. He could tie them all up but that breaking the first rule, absolute secrecy, he couldn't risk exposure or a trial. He got out of the car and walked farther into the alley then stopped about halfway, looking up the brick wall. Few cars drove past, the sounds of city traffic looming in the distance, once he made sure the coast was clear; looking out for cameras; sticking to the shadows he flew up to the edge of the roof, peering over. He checked his watch, it was one o'clock on the dot.

Hector and Frank - who they all called Frank the tank - were waiting in the back of a black van - with Eddie and Tommy a.k.a the brain - as it pulled in behind the city hall bank to drop them off. They all pulled their ski masks on and remained silent, Hectors been planning this hit for over eight months, and tonight was go time. Him and Frank the tank were soldiers for the mob, Eddie was their vault guy and Tommy a.k.a the brain was their tech expert, the kid was genius at computers, could hack anything and was under a lot of heat from the F.B.I. for breaching federal security a year prior, he's been underground ever since. This was his last job before his disappeared to the Cayman's, he didn't even want to be doing this, but he was already in and had to do this to get out, home free, or so he hoped. As for Hector and Frank, they were in deep, they took out a group of rivals together without the family's okay, while trying to come up with some cash to pay off a loan shark on the side, but things went south, and now people were out looking for them, this was their only chance to get out, they had everything riding on this job. And Eddie, well, he's just a solo vault expert, no ties to anything or anyone and was hired through a reliable source, when his jobs over, he collects and disappears no questions asked.

But what they all didn't know is that after each of them did what they came to do, even Frank, Hector planned to off all of them and walk away with everything.

It was 12:50 am when they got out and climbed up the escape stairs to the roof. When they reached the top Hector motioned them to get into position. The three quickly and silently went to the skylight and dropped their duffel bags to unload the equipment, Tommy took his post at the circuit box, cut the lock, opened the main panel then took his laptop and connection cables and got to work.
