   Feeling the sunlight on my face, I stretch my limbs, and I get up and get ready for the day. After tying my hair in a high ponytail, I shake Hanji awake and leave for the mess hall. Grabbing some fruits, bread, and my oolong tea I sit with the usual three.

    Taking my place at the table I greet them, "Good morning."

   "Morning Y/n," Isabel smiles.

   "Mornin'." Farlan greets. Using a fork, I begin to eat the arrangement of berries in my small bowl. I slice my small loaf of bread and slather it with butter. After breakfast, we head to the scout training grounds. It's been a week since I took the three on our little field trip. Since then, Levi's been, my sparring partner. We learned how quickly I could take down Isabel and Farlan. Levi's a bit more of a challenge.

   Holding the dull wooden knife in hand, Levi charges at me. I quickly dodge him and swing my leg to knock him off balance. After dodging my attack, he moves forward towards me again. I do two back flips to avoid his punches. Levi swings at me again, but as I dodge he uses his leg to trip me. Now on the ground with a wooden knife pointed down at me, I'm once again defeated by Levi. After sitting up, Levi offers me a hand to help me up. Accepting it, he helps me stand up, I dust myself off and he tosses me the fake knife. Levi then gets into his defensive position. Every time Levi knocks me down I can feel the intensity of his strength.

    Not only is he strong, but he's also really fast. Some days we end in a draw, other days he wins. I've never beaten him in hand to hand combat. Just like most days, Levi put me on my ass yet again. Moving on to horseback riding we go on the path I showed them to the waterfall.

   "So if you're not a princess, what kind of family do you come from? You're so proper and elegant with everything you do, you have to have some kind of status," Isabel asks.

   "Well, I do come from nobility and my grandfather was recently elected Minister of Magic, so he's in charge of the government now," I answer. Isabel and Farlan look at me with a raised eyebrow.

   "So basically a princess?" Farlan says as we stop at the spot at the mountainside.

   "If I'm a princess I'm a disowned one," I give a small smile as I get off my horse.

   "Disowned? What did you do for that to happen?" Farlan questions.

   "As soon as I graduated from school I got a job and moved out," I respond, leaning against a tree.

   "What? That sounds pretty great why would you get disowned for that?" Isabel adds as she pets her horse.

   "Don't get me wrong, my parents were proud of me. My grandfather is a different story, it has always been his way or no way. As soon as I graduated from school he wanted to marry me off to one of his colleagues," I begin to explain as I watch their confused faces.

   I take a deep breath and continue to explain, "You see, my whole life had been controlled by my grandfather. Growing up I played the part of the perfect obedient porcelain doll he wanted me to be. I was always told how to dress, eat, speak, and breathe. I only spoke when spoken to. I wasn't allowed to make my own decisions and always had to get his permission."

   "I apologize, I'm rambling too much about myself," I apologize as I look down at my feet. I lived in a beautiful castle by a mountain range, but that man made it feel like a prison more than anything.

   "It's fine we asked, it's quite interesting learning more about you. We came from the Underground, it's cool to hear about a completely different world than ours," Farlan says with a smile.

   "If you don't mind me asking; what else is your grandfather like?" Isabel asks as she fumbles with her fingers.

"He's a good business man and definitely knows how to worm his way through politics. But as a person; he always needs to be in control, he's crude, demanding, and pessimistic. He's also a big supporter of blood purity," I respond.
