CHAPTER 12 [nothing]

It's been a week since I last seen Jack, and today is my second day back at school. I didn't go for the rest of the week after what happened, even thought it would have been a lot easier than staying at home. Spencer is talking about moving back in, into his old room that hadn't changed since he left, he seems different, more calm, but I don't think he ever looked me in the eye once, or said 5 words to me at a time, other than 'how could you do that to this family'. And even when he said that, I had no explianation for him. Mum hasn't spoke to me either. The only person who liked my company was Elliott, but he didn't really know what was really happening. To my surprise he didn't remember much of Spencer. He remembered very little and seemed a bit scared of Spencer when he first walked in the door. I guess Elliott remembers the angry Spencer, the one who always got himself into trouble, and into a lot of fights. Spencer's been trying really hard to make Elliott forget about the old him, and see him how he is now. I think, it might be working. Although, I don't know what made him change so much since he left.

I walk into school and as usual, I see the guys hanging around one spot in the corner of the hall way, still no Jack, and still refusing to look me in the eye. I find myself walking towards them, with anger, and hurt, enough is enough and I need to talk to them to see where Jack is, to see if he's doing alright. "Where is he" i say finally approaching them, in which they exchanged a few weary looks, none of them answered, "what is wrong with you guys" I say, "you are" Daniel says, "Jack is probably at home or shacking up with one of his never ending list of girls he calls when he feels like it" Jonah says, "no, Jack wouldn't do that" I say, "well think again" Corbyn says, "look, we know Jack, and we might not be friends with him now, but I can assure you that's what hes doing" Daniel says, "you're his best friends" I say to them, trying to make them understand that pushing Jack away now is not the best idea for any of them, "not any more" Zach says, not looking me in the eyes, but I can still tell he's hurt, "what's wrong with you all" I say,"didn't we answer that already" Corbyn says.

I roll my eyes and leave, since Jack stopped talking to me, and the guys, I've been bitchy and they've been more of dicks than usual. Jonah got caught hooking up with a pair of twins in the girls locker room the other day, and Corbyn and Daniel have came into school drunk - more than once. Zach however has just been causing shit for the teachers in lessons. I don't know what happened with them or Jack. A weeks enough. I need to see jack, and talk to him about what had happened, it has to be bad if it means him not coming into school. Before I know it, I'm walking out the doors at the end of the hall, and straight out the school gates. I know where I'm going and I don't care about the consequences. I'm finding jack, and I'm knocking some sense into him.

I find myself inches away from knocking on Jacks front door. My palms are sweaty and I don't even know why am I'm here anymore, he's not going to listen to me. He'll just push me away just like he as done with everyone else. But, I was determined to get here, I know that but know I don't know what I'm supposed to do. What am I going to say if he opens the door. What am I supposed to do if he really is with a girl and has forgotten about me. I start pacing back and fourth on his porch wondering what I'm going to say and how I'm going to say it, knowing when I get the cahnce the words won't be able to escape my mouth. Just when I thought I had built up the courage to knock on his door it swings open. A girl. I don't know who but she's in a rush and closes it immediately behind her. She looks up at me and freezes, not expecting to see someone outside of the door. "Who are you" I say, "who are you" she says back, "I asked first" I say, "erm, Violet, I don't live here and I'm leaving, bye" she says walking past me and practically running down the pathway. Guess the guys were right. I was an idiot to come here.

I turn around in attempt to bolt down the path and run back to school, "hi" a little girl says, causing me to jump out my skin. I turn back around to see a little girl standing in the middle of the door way of the house. She's small, blonde and smiling big, who I'm now presuming is Isla, "erm hi" I say, "is your brother Jack here" I ask, not even realising the words just came out my mouth, "yes, are you another one of his girlfriends" she asks, "what no" I say, quickly hutting down the assumption, "you look familiar" she says tilting her head a little, "no, no, you've never seen me before, could I err talk to Jack" I say a bit panicked, since I didn't know if she'd recognise me eventually. "okay" she smiles, "come in" she says, letting me in and closing the door, "his bedrooms the first door on the left when you go upstairs" she says, "okay, thank you" I say, "no problem" she smiles.
