Hope you all enjoy the edited version of Chapter 2!

*side note: I changed Jack's little sister's name in this book from Pippa (what I originally had it as) to MARY. This is in clarification to those reading for the first time or re-reading as I am editing, since there will temporarily be inconsistencies with her name until I am done editing the whole book. Read the A/N at the end of the chapter for more clarification*

Chapter 2

Elsa

After a few minutes passed, the four of us chatting in the hallway after our altercation with Jack, Hiccup and Punzie went off to go to their second-period classes. Merida and I stood side-by-side since we shared the next class together.

I shut my locker and turned to face Merida.

"Are you ready to head to calculus?" I asked and Merida grinned at me playfully.

"Why are you in such a rush to head to class? I was just about to ask you about your new locker neighbor." She teased, and I rolled my eyes playfully in response.

"I'm not too fond of him, clearly. Now let's get to class." I said and ruffled her red, poofy hair with a smile plastered on my face.

"Hey! Don't touch my hair! It's already messy." She whined, attempting to adjust her head of curls. I laughed a little as she fixed her outfit as well.

Merida considers herself to basically be a tomboy. She usually avoids going shopping with me and Punzie whenever we invite her to hang out with us.

Most of the time, if Merida does end up coming with us to go shopping, she finds herself to be in the arcade or hanging out at the food court the entirety of our visit to the mall.

She wears masculine clothing the majority of the time. One of the things I admired the most about Merida was how she is always able to embrace who she is as a person, and she stands out in the best way possible.

I always liked messing with her hair, even if it bothers her sometimes. Especially since it's so soft and poofy.

We chatted lightly as we walked through the crowded halls together, eventually making our way into our calculus class. We sat in our usual seats, which were unfortunately separated from one another.

I took my seat, which was next to a girl named Ariel.

I didn't really know too much about her, since I only sat with her in this class. We get along pretty well whenever we have to work together to do classwork or an assignment, but other than that, we usually don't speak to each other during class.

Mainly due to the fact that Ariel was pretty shy, which I respected.

I let my elbow rest on top of my desk and then rested my chin on the palm of my left hand, waiting for our teacher, Ms. Johnson, to arrive and begin our lesson for the day.

I got lost in thought as I remembered the way that Jack Frost interrupted my first-period class by walking into the classroom after the bell rang. I couldn't seem to shake the thought out of my mind, but eventually, I snapped back into reality when the harsh ringing of the school bell rang through my ears.

"Happy Monday, everyone. I hope the weekend treated you all well and gave you all enough time to complete the homework that is due today. Pass your completed homework assignments to the front of the classroom, and then flip to page 438 in your calculus textbook. There should be a set of problems on the page, so complete everything on a separate piece of paper. Once you complete it, show me your work and I'll give you another assignment. Alright?" She explained.
