and just like that, everything was over – well, actually it was far from over.

that night, esperanza felt like she lost herself – or everything for that matter. she knew that cesar didn't want to kill latrelle, but the deed was done. there was no going back.

waking up the next day, espy woke up to her alarm blaring. rolling over, she turned it off and closed her eyes again, only for her to hear the front door of her house slam shut.
as she sat up, esperanza heard soft footsteps making their way to her door. there was only one other person that was light on their feet. eva.
"morning, hermana," eva spoke, slightly opening the door to her younger sisters cuarto.
"buenos días," esperanza replied, rubbing the sleep from her eyes, "what are you doing back?"
"i can't help mi hermana a prepararse para un quince?" eva replied, now walking into the room.
"i never said that," espy smiled.
"well, get up! we got a lot to do!"
and with that, the oldest of the navarra girls pulled her sister from her cama to get ready for the long day ahead.

once esperanza was out of the shower and dressed in her grey button up shirt and black shorts, eva had set up a whole makeup station, turned on a curling iron or two, layed out the purple vestido – the whole nine yards to make her hermana look beautiful.
"eva, woah," esperanza said, taking in the scene infront of her.
"estás listo?" eva asked, clapping her hands together.
"when am i not?" espy claimed, sharing a smile with her sister.
"then let's do this!"
