Anatome (Jaime Preciado/Pierce The Veil)

~Hi guys c: I've been thinking about this story for a while and I think the ending was a bit sudden so I've decided to make an alternative ending. You can choose which ending you'd rather have for this story but I'm making this one nicer and there's going to be loads of stuff happen in this ending. ~Jaime's POV 

"Jaime, it's been two weeks and you've not left the room once." Vic sighed as he walked in, seeing that I'd not moved from Alexis's bedside. 

"I don't want to leave her. She saved my life and I'm going to be here for her, no matter what." I replied as I gently held Alexis's hand in mine. "Heard anything else about Britany and Jared?" I asked as I turned around to face Vic. 

"All we know is that there was a body found in the store and it was Britany, as for Jared, he's still on the run." Vic said as he sat down on the plastic chair next to me. 

"Well, at least one of them are gone. I have no sympathy for either of them. They nearly killed all of us, especially for Alexis and for what? Because Alexis and I are in a relationship? It's fucking ridiculous. Shyloh could've been left without a mom and as I hate to say it, that may still happen." I snapped as I started to rant. 

"As cruel as it sounds, I'm glad that she's dead. She has caused lots of shit in our lives, especially you and Lex but now that she's gone, we can finally relax and not have to keep looking behind our shoulder, wondering if either of them are watching us from a distance..." Vic stopped talking as he saw me twirl a ring in my fingers.

"When she wakes up and gets out the hospital, you should go ahead with the proposal. Seeing as the plans got... scuppered at Target, propose as soon as possible." Vic said as he patted my back and stood up.

""Don't worry man, I will." I gave Vic a small smile, he nodded at me and left the room. As the door clicked shut, I sighed loudly and turned to face Alexis again.

"I know I've said this so many times but please wake up. PLEASE. I need you, the guys need you, Jolie, Katelynne, Erin, Lights. Shyloh especially. We need you to wake up. We all love you." I pleaded again as Alexis continued to inhale and exhale, the continuous beeping of the hospital machines providing the only noise in the room.

~Vic's POV

"How are they doing?" Mike asked as I walked into the waiting room, everyone else looking up at me.

"The usual. Alexis is still in the coma and Jaime's not moved." I sighed as I collapsed into the seat beside me and Shyloh reached out towards me. I picked up Shyloh from her baby carrier and set her on her lap as she started cooing and trying to grab at my hair.

"She has most of Jaime's features but she shows a lot of Alexis as well, especially the eyes." Jolie murmured as the two of us watched Shyloh.

"Yeah, she does." I nodded as Shyloh placed her hand on mine and started giggling. I smirked as I continued to watch Shyloh, her laughter sounding better than the hospital machines.

"Quick, move, move, move!" A doctor yelled to his colleagues as they ran down the hall. Jolie and I shared a confused look before standing up and looking down the hall.

"What's happening?" I asked a passing doctor.

"Related to Alexis Fuentes?" He asked.

"Yeah."

"You'll be glad to hear this: she's waking up."

~Jaime's POV

"I don't care what you say, I'm not leaving." I told the nurse as I folded my arms and stood my ground.
