It was the night of the dance and Anne felt rather excited. This would be one of the first things she would do with Clay and Justin since it was announced that they would officially be added to the Jensen family.
Anne was sitting on Clay's bed putting on a crimson red lipstick while he was helping Justin with his tie.
She smiled lovingly at her new brothers feeling like everything was finally starting to be alright.

After some time they finally arrived at the dance and Anne was astonished by the beautifully decorated gym.
The first hour she spent with a few different people like Scott Reed just talking and a few dances in between.
She came across Scott by accident but she didn't mind since he filled her time and amused her quite a bit.
The two were talking when Anne's heart skipped a beat hearing the new song that was put on. She didn't hear another word Scott had said and she only focused on the song. Hannah and Clay's song was blasting through the gym and Anne could hear the few words sung of 'The night we met'.
She walked away from Scott trying to find the probably broken Clay.
She saw him him in the middle of the gym and she sprinted forward.
Anne stood in front of the boy before hugging him tightly while the two teenagers cried in eachothers shoulders. Not a second later they were joined by Tony and after some time the whole gang stood there hugging Clay.

The song had ended and Anne was now seated with Justin, Zach and Clay.
Justin and Zach were talking how Zach would have been good for Hannah and Anne couldn't agree more. After all Zach was one of the sweetest guys she knew.
Mackenzie came running toward then and told Cyrus they should really go in for this song so he decided to come and dance along. Before the boy entered the dance floor he turned around to look at Anne and Clay.
"You two coming, or what?"

Anne and Clay looked at each other before shrugging and getting up.
Clay turned back at Zach and Justin.
"Come on guys!"
They just looked at him without moving a muscle so the boy threw a pillow at them making Anne laugh out loud. In the end they decided to come along aswell and all of them were dancing wildly and laughing their asses off enjoying the night of their life.

Anne hadn't felt this happy in a long time and it felt like she could take on the world. It felt to her like nothing could ruin this beautiful night.

Anne was still on the dance floor with Clay when a distraught Mackenzie came running towards her.
Anne looked at her confused so the girl showed her the text from Tyler.
Anne's eyes opened in shock not believing her eyes.
She turned towards Clay and tugged his arm harshly.
"Clay, we need to go, now! He's going to shoot the place up."
Before the boy could react Anne was already running out of the building.
Clay followed close behind not wanting her in any danger.

Anne walked outside and saw Tyler coming towards the building while holding onto a gun.
"Tyler, stop!"
Anne and Clay ran towards him trying to stop his actions.
Clay held up his hands slightly and began to speak some sense in the boy.
"Tyler, I know this isn't what you want."
Tyler walked forward while aiming his gun at Clay.
"You don't fucking know anything about me."
Anne stepped in front of Clay having the gun pointed at her chest now.
"Tyler, please, just put the gun down. Do you really think this will make a difference or be another goddamn tragedy that will have people mourn for a week and then forget about it."
She looked at him with pleading eyes.
"I know we can get through this Tyler. I just need you to put the gun down and then we can solve this."

"There's nothing else I can do."
Anne nodded with tears in her eyes. Her hand raised and she layed it on top of the gun near Tyler's hand while her other was holding tightly onto Clay's.
"There is. We can figure it out together."

Tyler looked astonished and he was about to give the gun away. Anne's words made sense and he knew she could help him.
He started to lower the gun but the sirens from the distance startled him making him react accidentally.

The only thing Anne could hear was a gun firing and the screams of her friends when the  bullet came piercing through her chest painting it as crimson red as her lips.
And she fell deeper and deeper into the void while falling into her brother's arms.

This was the tragic night where Liberty High lost another student and this time it was their beloved Anne Jensen.
