"Please help me, I didn't want to marry her I was forced to!" The husband cried out as he tried desperately to get away from his wife.
"Oh for pete's sake," Thomas mumbled, growing annoyed with the two. "Miss, your religious views are blinding you to the truth. Your husband never loved you, and killing him won't change that."
"Oh, so you're on the faggot's side now?" The wife declared as she stopped chasing her husband and glared at him. Her dark green eyes reminded Thomas of decaying lettuce.
Rolling his eyes, Thomas ignored her comment. "Miss, I'm not on either of your sides. I simply said that your husband was probably forced into marrying you because of his parents. I assume they, like you, are religious and demanded that he take a wife. I don't see a problem here with his attraction to another man."
The man sighed with relief, "Th-Thank you good sir! I'm so glad that somebody finally understands! I never wanted this, none of it!"
The wife turned to her husband and glared at him with eyes like daggers. This silenced him, and she crossed her arms in disgust. She glared at him a moment longer before her cold gaze turned to Thomas. "This town ain't for faggot's, or their friends. I suggest you move along."
Taking in a deep breath in, Thomas held it in, trying to keep his calm. Don't keep talking, don't push her. Just let it go and walk away. He thought as he turned to his left and started walking down the road again. Hoping to see a sign somewhere leading to another town. The wife spoke up again, but this it was demeaning, and filled with disgust.
"Faggots should be burned for their sins. I'm going to make you pay for your mistakes Barry if it's the last thing I do!" The sound of a fist connecting with a face echoed toward him as Barry cried out in pain before falling to the ground. She began to violently attack him, kicking and stomping on him before the sounds of punches began to repeat mixed with cries of pain from Barry.
"Please, help me!" Barry called out, as the wife continued to strike him.
His blood beginning to boil, Thomas could no longer take the abuse. Turning around, he threw the knife with lethal accuracy towards the two. It sliced a chunk of her boot as it stuck into the ground only a few centimeters from her toes. "Miss, I know you think you're doing the right thing, but if you continue to assault this man, I will be forced to take action. I am a special agent in the Brindain military, and I cannot just turn a blind eye to your assault of an innocent man."
The woman turned to Thomas, her bloody fist raised above her head poised to strike again. "You can't do anything here! This is Flarra territory you idiot! If you touch me, I'll be sure you're marked as a warmonger! You can't-" Suddenly her words were cut short as a painful scream flew from her lungs. Both Thomas and the woman looked down to see the knife was buried in her stomach. "You just stabbed me!" She cried out in anguish as she looked at Barry with malice. "How dare you-"
Another loud scream cut through the air as Barry twisted the knife. Once he had made a circle, he pulled the blade out. The woman covered her wound and glared at Barry with pure hatred. She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could, he thrusted the knife into her breast. She screamed out again for a few seconds before she collapsed on top of him. Thomas awkwardly looked at the two as Barry began to wiggle his way free of the mass that was his now dead wife. "I can't believe I had to waste thirty years of my life with that monster!" He grumbled as he continued to wiggle out from beneath her. When he finally managed to get out, his shirt was stained red with her blood. Thomas watched as her blood began seeping from her wounds into the dirt around her. "Thank you for helping me finally get rid of her!"
"You murdered her," Thomas replied vexed with how out of hand the situation had become. "I didn't want to interfere, and now I'm an accessory to the murder of your wife! What are we going to do?"
