**Peridot's POV**

I woke up, feeling sore. Any movement I made was painful. Memories of the previous night came flooding into my brain, and I realized why I was hurting. But something else was bothering me.. What if Jasper tells the public about me? Would they even believe her? Probably not.. Most people dont even believe in werewolves..

Or... Would they? I started to panic. I did my best to not wake Lapis up, but I failed. She groaned and stirred before turning her body some and greeting me with a smile.

"morning, Peri." she said, yawning.
"h-hey... Sorry if I w-woke you." i stuttered, trying to be calm as possible. She looked at me worriedly.

"whats wrong, Peridot?"
I didn't want to admit it, but even if I tried to lie myself out of this situation, she'd know. I had no other choice.

"im just... Scared.. What if Jasper tells people about me? What if they believe her? What if the government comes searching for me to do experiments on me!? What if-"
She interrupted me by hugging me tight, but gently.

"shhh.. Its not gonna happen.. No one is gonna believe her. They'll think she's crazy. No one is gonna come for you.." she comforted me, petting the back of my head.

I hugged her back, and started crying a little. She rubed my back, shushing me, and telling me 'its okay' repeatedly.

"shhh... Its alright, Peri.. Its gonna be okay... You're okay.."
I just cried more into the crook of her neck. This went on for about an hour, and Lapis never left me. Not even to go the bathroom. She just rubbed my back and whispered positive affirmations to me.

After I finally finished my crying, we cuddled close for a while longer.
She'd occasionally ask me questions like "do you need anything?" or "can i get you something?". But I just told her to stay with me. And she did. Like all the other times I needed her.
"mm.. Im kind of hungry." I finally spoke, looking up at her.
"for..?"

"..You." I muttered under my breath.
"what was that?"
"stew."
"what kind?"
"any kind."
"you sure?"
"yeah."
She got up and went straight to the kitchen, and I heard pots and pans being moved around.
I laughed a bit at the joke I made moments ago, and then blushing at the lewd thought. I face palmed myself.
Stop thinking like that, Peridot!

I shook off the thought and got kind of cold a few minutes later, and I wanted her with me again. I wanted to get up, but I was sooo comfy. I was debating whether I should get up and be cold for five seconds, or stay under the covers. I groaned and got up, shivering as the cold air circled me.
Is it winter in here, or what?

I limped to the kitchen and hugged Lapis from behind. She jumped a little bit.
"heh.. Hey, Peri." her voice soothed me, and I almost melted. She held my hand with one of her's while stirring the food in the pot.

I nuzzled into her back for more warmth. We stayed like this for a while until the sweet aroma of chicken stew filled my nose.

"that smells really good." I complimented her, raising my head to look at the pot.
"trust me, it tastes way better than it smells."
I smiled and watched her pour some stew into a bowl with a ladel.

She set it to the side and poured some more into another one, which I assumed was for herself.
"there ya go." she pointed to one of the bowls.
