My Soulmate (HoO/PJO AU)

Since it is a weekend I'm going to try and get maybe 2 chapters out tonight. It like 10:56 when I started to write this. So sorry for any mistakes! I hate my big thumbs!

Frank's POV

Percy has been acting weird lately. Well maybe not lately. More like since he was about 10. So I guess he was acting normal. Good grief he was acting strange! That's what I'm trying to say.

He hasn't been taking his hood off and won't look anyone in the eye. He's hiding something. From what Caleb, one of the swimmers on the swim team, says he's been skipping practice these couple days. Which is strange of Percy, considering he loves to swim.

Will told Nico, who told the group, that Percy had been getting band-aids and rolls of bandages from the nurses office. But he refuses to let Will look at what's wrong.

He still cracks jokes at lunch, but his heart just isn't in it. Something is very wrong. And today I'm going to find out.

I've made a plan with the rest of the group to sneak up behind him while Annabeth talks to him. Then I'm going to pull off his hood. But I'm going to do it in one of the empty hallways just in case it is something super personal.

And that is exactly what we are doing now.

Annabeth is leading him into the hallway that we can use as the reveal spot.

I hide around the corner as Percy looks back.

"Yeah I was wondering.....what does you tattoo look like?" She tried to come up with an excuse that would keep him talking for a long time. Or potentially a very short time.

"Uh, why?" Percy asked Annabeth.

"Oh, uh, I was just wondering. Maybe I could help you try and decode it? You know, try and find your special someone," she replied.

At that very moment I yanked the hood of of his head and saw blood and bruises.

"What the crap, man! I though you guys could respect my privacy!" He pulled his hood back on and stormed away.

"Percy! I'm sorry! We just wanted to know what was going on and you weren't telling us anything!" Annabeth called and ran trying to catch up with him. She grabbed his hand and he yanked it away.

"Leave me alone, Annabeth! I'm completely fine!" He ran out the front door of the school and walked off.

Annabeth started to walk out of the door and I stopped her.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"I'm going to find him. I'm going to make this right," she answered.

"But class started in a couple minutes. You'll never have time to do that and make it back to class on time," I said.

"Well then, Frank. It's a good thing it's my free period," she then walked out of the school and walked around the corner. She's crazy! Percy could be long gone by now! Man he can run! Like have you seen him run? It's like a cheetah!

I started walking to class with the picture of his bloody and bruised face. That would for sure keep me distracted.

All through history that was the only thing I could think about. His eyes had lost all the light and happiness to them and they looked like the sea on the rainiest day ever. They looked mad. They looked wild. And they looked hurt. Thinking back on it now, I knew we were invading his privacy and I knew it was wrong. But I was just curious. But you know what they say, curiosity killed the cat.

News got around that Percy and Annabeth had left school. They just didn't know why. Some thought they were going to one of their houses to do stuff couples do. Some people thought they just wanted to skip class. Others thought it was a family emergency. But our group knew better. Percy was hurt. Both physically and emotionally. And Annabeth was going to make it right.

But one person had the wildest theory of them all. Luke Castellan thought that Percy was a street fighter and lost his last match. He told everyone it was true. And now they believe it.

We've been trying to shut the rumor down but people are stubborn. Finally I got a text from Annabeth.

Frank, it's fine now. Percy's alright.

I showed Piper and Jason the text and went to the office.

"Uh, Mr. D, sir? Percy and Annabeth had to go to skip class to talk to their parents outside. Family emergency. They had to talk immediately. That's why they didn't tell you," I explained the situation and he just kept nodding.

"Yeah. Peter and Annabelle had to skip for a family emergency. Got it," he said distractedly.

"Sir, it Percy and Annabeth. Not Peter and Annabelle," I corrected.

"Yeah, Yeah. Thank you for telling me. Goodbye," I walked out of the room and went to lunch.

Someone stuck out at our table. It was Hazel. Huh, why is she here?

"Hey, Frank! So today I've decided to merge my friend groups. Hazel and Nico, this is Frank, Leo, Jason, Reyna, Calypso, and Thalia. Guys this is Hazel and Nico," Piper said.

Hazel waved at all of us and started to blush when everyone started asking questions.

Percy, Calypso, Jason, and Leo were the newest people at the table before Hazel and Nico got here. I like having a big table with a lot of friends to sit with. It's nice.

I guess everyone had known who Percy, Hazel, and Nico were they just didn't know if they were friends yet. I had already been friends with Hazel and Percy before they joined our table.

Speaking of Percy, he sat down next to Leo with his hood covering most of his face. Annabeth sat next to him and gave us a smile.

"Hey, Hazel. Hey, Nico. Glad your sitting with us now. This is Percy," she pointed at Percy who, from what I could see, didn't look to happy.

"They know who I am, Annabeth. I'm their cousin," you could hear his anger with every word. And it was some high level anger. Like really high.

"Oh," Annabeth gave us all a sad smile and started talking to Hazel.

"Hey, Perce. I'm sorry about earlier. My Curiosity got the best of me," Percy looked up the slightest bit and I could see the scowl on his face.

"You know what they say. Curiosity killed the cat. Be careful next time you decide to invade someone's privacy. Especially mine," he started to smirk and I saw that it was a tad bit lopsided.

Annabeth looked over at him in shock and smacked his arm. She started to whisper something in his ear that I couldn't hear and the shadow of Percy's face got a bit softer. He looked back to me and I saw the shattered-ness in his eyes. I knew that he didn't mean it as a threat, but I couldn't help but notice how his muscles popped out ever so slightly in his hoodie and had a terrible thought.

'He could kill me if he wanted to.' I was scared of Percy.

Hey guys! How do you like this chapter?

I was watching the movie Pearl Harbor and I literally cried so much! The ending killed me!

But anyways. Has anyone seen the 4th season of The Flash? My god, I love Ralph! He's so freaking funny! So beside being so tired that I can't think straight, today has been great. I watched all three original Jurassic Park movies. For like the 20th time. But I love them so it's fine.

I finished this at 12:14 and the word count is 1315 words.
