".....Because she isn't."

My eyes widened once more. Confusion is really getting the best of me.

Nine took the tablet that I recently abandoned and connected another file. "Operative Two" it said. A holographic image of a blonde girl appeared next to One's picture. Nine gave me a small smile. He looked like he was ready to spill everything.

"Operative One. Operative Two. The Kang sisters and the first females in Phantom Alpha in the history of PHANTASM. A Wraith and a Feralis. Both were very skilled fighters and do their jobs very well.

Five years ago; year 2073; Project Angmar was launched and every single Wraith was required to join the program..... Only to die in the end. One was believed to have died together with the other Wraiths and Four miraculously survived the damned project for an unknown reason.

Two got angry with Dr. Park and nearly killed her after finding out of her sister's death. Dr. Park was only lucky Ten and I were there to stop her......

Two left PHASe one day and never returned. At first, we thought she was just taking time to recover from One's death. But.... Rumors came around Olympia and PHASe of a blonde girl's dead body found in some abandoned facility.

......We still don't know if Two is dead or alive all along......."

Nine stopped there. I think this is just too personal for him. I patiently waited for him to continue. This story is getting interesting anyway.

"....*sigh*....... One.... She was actually a great person....." he turned to face me. "......She's kinda like you." I pointed at myself. "Me??"

"Yes you, haha. She was quite clumsy at first when she joined Alpha, but with her sister, they were both unstoppable. They were a perfect combination especially in battles. One was the offender while Two was a defender. Their tactics suited them both that they were called the 'Wonder Twins'. Typical, you could say. Hahaha!......"

I laughed along with him while it lasted. I knew he was gonna get emotional tonight.

"......But it just didn't last. One died.... Two left and no one knows what actually happened to her....... Until 2075. Which was only three years ago..... I found secret information about One. Alpha and I weren't so busy that time so I was able to get out of PHASe and Olympia and investigate..... In a CCTV recording I found outside of Olympia, I found out One's last known sighting. You'd be surprised where I last found her...."

I gave him a questioning look while he only seemed to smile at me.

"Where?" I asked.

"I found her in your tribe."

My mouth gaped and I felt it! I knew I saw her somewhere!

"She......" memories hit my head like a brick as I remembered One. She helped one of our elders from being robbed by a gangster back in the wastelands. She got quite hurt back then and I.....

"......I offered her help..." I mumbled out. Wait..... but where would there be a CCTV in the wastelands!?

"But Nine... How did you find a CCTV that viewed the wastelands??"

Nine chuckled. "It was through the satellite above our lands. Above the overall of Olympia and the wastelands."

I kept gaping at the surprise explanations. Wow.

Nine chuckled at my clueless face. He settled down after a few seconds and sighed again.

"Anyway..... Since there is proof that One is alive, I'm giving you a special mission, Seven. But I need you to keep it a secret. If the other members find out, they won't be able to focus."
