I know I haven't uploaded this since what, last year? But hear me out - a new TMNT series is coming out and I'm super hyped. Especially since Leonardo is not going to be the oldest! In fact, the second-youngest! I'll admit, having Raph being the leader and oldest is a bit weird, but its all I've ever wanted! Think of the fan fictions~!

So with that, I dove straight back into the series of TMNT, and decided I should continue this!

.

Ps. Sorry if this doesn't move smoothly from the last chapter!

Leonardo's eyes fluttered, and he yawned wildly, sitting up to rub his eyes. Looking around in his small, tree-top den, he sighed, which instantly turned to a hacking cough. The blue-masked turtle groaned, gently trying to soothe his throat by softly scratching at it. His chest was aching, and his lungs burnt, although he couldn't understand why. His mind felt foggy and clouded, and it nauseated him to look over the ledge, and into the piercing light. Curling himself into a protective ball, he faced towards the wall at the back of his 'house' and clamped his eyes shut - looking at bright things wasn't helping right now.

He snuggled back into the fluffy objects that helped coat the safety-room, keeping him warm, as he felt unnaturally cold. Giving a exhale of comfort, his eyes began to relax, along with his cramped muscles and tendons.

His stomach gave a growl...

~

He moaned in annoyance as he sat himself up once more, looking queasily at the opening. Couldn't his brothers come and give him something? "Look's like that's one thing I got too soft on." He muttered to himself, leaning on his right side as he hoisted himself up and to a standing position. He and Mikey were just the right size to stand fully in this low-ceiling hideout, and honestly, he cherished it sometimes - It'd come in handy. "Gotta stop gettin' so soft..."

He began to walk to the exit, only crouching down when he needed to slip out of the small opening. He sat on his knee's on the outside area of the den, peering down below. His blurry vision and nausea increased, and he couldn't see his brothers. 'That's not good..'

He coughed, clearing his broken airway. "G-guys?" He called out, wincing from his scratchy voice, "You here?"

He looked towards the glass wall where he'd last seen visitors. There was no-one, and he looked at the large clock north of the water-viewing area. It stated it was only eight, and Leonardo's fuzzy mind fought to remember about when real Zoo's closed for the night. Not this early, he reckoned, but in all honesty, that might be untrue.

Suddenly, a loud bang was heard from the glass, making Leo jump and grip onto the rope surrounding him, closing his eyes to lessen the huge headache that came along with the disturbing noise. He peeped an eye out to find the young vet he'd first encountered; April. Or so he believed it to be.. He wasn't the best at remembering people's names.

He lazily moved himself over to her, still afraid she'd bang again and he'd fall off. The pretty girl seemed to get that message and smiled, tracing a finger along the glass. "It's okay.. Sorry I scared you, Blue - I didn't mean it."

The blue-banded turtle snorted, clearly not believing her, but he continued to perch near her, afraid of being left along - he was still confused.. Where was every-turtle?

"Bet your wondering where they are, hmm?" She whispered, seeming to be able to read his eyes, but resuming her happy face, smiling softly at the sick animal. "We're just checking them out - haven't seen them up close yet, have we? I'm suggesting we should monitor you all, kay?" She giggled, "It's not like you can understand me though, hey?"
