Running.

Running is what brought Corbyn and Daniel together. Running from yard to yard during the night, hand in hand as if nothing could break them apart.

Dawn peaking at its highest while they ran through their neighborhood. The shouts and hollers beginning at exactly 9 am.

The two ran hand in hand still, the homophobic slurs chasing them down the street and into the darkness. They laughed and booed at the sickening faces while they ran free, out of the street they used to call home.

They did this everyday. Meeting up at 10 pm sharp, talking and talking until they grew bored; standing up to begin their next adventure. They ran the same path everyday, through the homophonic neighborhood and into the city. But they always end up somewhere different, no matter how many times they run.

Their life wasn't perfect.
It wasn't all butterflies and roses.
It wasn't all happy and fun.
It wasn't all safe and sound.
It never was.

But when they found each other, they felt safe. So safe that they were never scared of running to far. Corbyn made a promise the first night he met Daniel.

His promise was to keep him safe, and he did.

Daniel also made a promise.
His promise was to give him all the happiness he needed.

Daniel gave him more happiness Corbyn could ever think a person could handle. Daniel was corbyns happiness, and Corbyn was Daniels safety.

I fucking hated every minute of that.
