Clarke:

She'd spent over a month locked away in a prison cell, drawing over the floor and walls to keep herself entertained and distracted.

If she sat still for too long her mind would wander and she'd start thinking about all the things she had lost... And all the things she never had.

That party had shown her just how much she was missing out on. Friends, dancing, music and so much more.

No one would tell her where her parents were.

Were they still alive? Or had they...had they already been floated?

She didn't dare ask about Bellamy. She hoped that somehow noone would find out he had helped her. She'd told no one and she wasn't about to.

She lay back on the solid bed and took a deep breath. She wasn't surprised. She'd always known this was where she would end up, it was just a matter of time.

Time. There was eleven months left on the clock and then her time was up. It was just a waiting game.

Really, she was lucky. She'd lived seventeen years, surrounded by people who loved her.

But now it was gone, and all that she had left was her life.

She wished they'd just get it over with.

And, when the guards stormed into her room, that's exactly what she thought they were doing.

'Prisoner 319, face the wall and hold out your right arm.'

She jumped off the bed and did as she was told, confused more than anything else.

She winced as they snapped a metal band around her wrist, something sharp piercing her skin as it went on.

'What's going on?' she asked, turning round.

The guard made a move towards her and without thinking, she grabbed the shock baton at his belt. Somehow, she turned it on and hit him in the side. He shuddered and stumbled foward.

Clarke dropped the weapon and froze. Unfortunately that hesitation cost her. She ran for the door but another guard entered the cell and stuck a needle into her neck.

In seconds, she was unconscious.

....

When she started to wake up, nothing around her felt right.

The sound of machinery was too loud and there was something around her waist.

Her head was pounding and opening her eyes was more effort than it should have been.

She looked down and saw that she was strapped in to a chair.

The biggest shock was when she looked around her. It was like a small room - but it wasnt a room at all - and there were people everywhere, all fastened into seats.

She turned to the boy next to her, 'Where am I?'

She moved to undo her belt but he shook his head, 'no dont. We're on a dropship. Im jasper' he said, smiling wide.

'Im Clarke - whats a dropship?'

He frowned, like she was crazy and said, 'We're going to earth Clarke.'

'What? But earth isn't survivable, its not safe-' she was cut off by the sound of the chancellor.

The screen on the wall turned on. She heard very little of what he said, just that their 'crimes' made them 'expendable' and something about the wristbands sending them information on the Ark.
