The Alpha's Broken Mate (BoyxBoy)

Hey guys. Sorry for not updating for a while. My pain meds have kept me knocked out quite a bit over the last week. I hope you guys are enjoying my book and are enjoying Evan's strength. He is an absolute sweetheart but he is amazingly strong as well. Just like someone in my own life. Now sit back and enjoy. They are about to meet Elder Josephine to figure out what is up with Evan and the weird things happening to him.

Jaxon's POV

Today was the day. We had a meeting with Elder Josephine to try and figure out what the hell is going on with Evan. I need to know what is going on so that I can help him better and protect him properly. The meeting is for an hour from now and right now, I'm in my office trying to get work done.

A knock sounds on my door, "Come in" I call. Carter enters my office. He hasn't stopped grinning since he met his Mate and I was truly happy for him. "What's up Carter? I ask him. "O nothing much, just wanted to see how you were doing and if there is anything I can help you with. Nathan is spending time with Evan so I'm bored" he tells me. Still with that same huge grin on his face.

I can just see part of his Mating Mark above the collar and its truly something. From what I can see, it looks like two wolves howling at the moon. "I see you have completed your mating. Congratulations my friend" I tell him, giving him a heartfelt smile.

"Thank you my friend, yes we have and I couldn't be happier. How is it going on your end?" He asks me. "I have to be very careful with Evan. He has been through so much and I'm not going to push him into something he is not ready for." I tell him with a sigh.

"I hear you man. But don't give up hope. He seems like a very strong person and he is always sneaking looks at you when he thinks no one is watching. He is definitely attracted to you". He tells me with a smirk on his face.

"I hope so. I really do. We are going to go see Josephine just now to find out if she knows what is happening with Evan coz he says he has never experienced any sort of powers or anything up until he came here."

We sit for the next half hour talking about what needs to be done while Evan and I are in our meeting. Then there is another knock, but this time it's a bit quieter and more timid. I immediately smell my Mate and my wolf gets excited. "Come in Little One". I call through the door. He peeks his head around the corner of the door. "Um...Hi. Am I interrupting anything?" He asks looking between Carter and I.

"No Little One, we were just discussing some Pack business." I tell him, giving him a soft smile. "O, ok. I just wanted to check with you what time we need to go see the Elder you told me about." He asks.

"We can actually leave now. It takes about fifteen minutes to get out to her place. She prefers to live away from everyone else. Just a warning, she is a bit eccentric, so don't take her weirdness to heart". I warn him.

We set out for Josephine's cottage. We arrive there and I tell Evan to wait in the car. I step out and as soon as I got closer to her door, she shouted out to know who it was, I told her it was her Alpha and she opened the door with a shotgun in her hand. "And now that you are answering your door with a shotgun in hand Josephine?" I ask her, quite baffled as she is a wolf, so why not just shift?

"It's to scare off the teenagers alpha. The little bastards are daring each other to come and knock on my door and piss me off. So I decided I will teach those little fuckers a lesson" she tells me with a huge grin on her face. "Tell your Mate to get out the car and come inside. My teeth are too weak to bite" and with that she turns around and goes back inside.

I shake my head chuckling at her antics. The woman has a filthy mouth but I love her like a grandmother. I motion to Evan to get out and come to me. When he reaches me, I thread my fingers into his for comfort and lead him inside.

Now Josephine's house was strange in itself. It literally looks like a rose bush threw up everywhere. It was roses wherever you looked. On the walls, on the tables, the damn carpet and of course, in the vases. Josephine is obsessed with roses.

"Wow" was all Evan said as he looked around with wide eyes. I had to smile at that. It does take some getting used to.

We made our way to the living room where Josephine was sitting in her favourite chair. "Elder Josephine, this is my Mate..." she cut me off with a wave of her hand. "Evan, I know. Sit your ass down boy, so we can get down to the reason you are here" she just barks out. Evan lets out a small giggle next to me and that makes me smile. "Now the reason you are here is because our dear Luna Evan has been doing some weird shit since he got here, am I right?" She asks with a quirked eyebrow.

"Well yes, but.." once again she cuts me off with a wave of her hand. "I know things, that's why I know why he is here. Let's get this over and done with coz I want to get back to my peace and quiet. He is a very special wolf. White wolves are very rare for a reason. But a lot of them end up being used for the wrong reasons. They can manipulate elements and make things move with just a thought. But your Mate is even more special, because he has been through hell and back and that has actually increased his powers, making him one of the most powerful white wolves to ever exist. The reason his powers are only showing now, is because meeting his Mate has activated them. But only partly. You have to fully mate for his full powers to show. When you do decide to get it on, you might want to go somewhere else to do it. I don't know exactly what will happen when he gets his full powers, but rather be safe than sorry" she tells us.

Leaving us completely shocked and Evan blushing bright red at the mention of 'getting it on' as she so politely put it. I swear this woman has no damn filter. Evan ducks his head into my shoulder in embarrassment. "O please child, it's not like you haven't thought about it". She scoffed. Evan ducked his head even further into me. Making a sound of distress.

"Thats enough Josephine. Not everyone is used to you and your mouth. Thank you for your info. We will keep an eye on everything and if it does come to the mating, I can always take him to my cabin for that" I chuckled.

She really is too much sometimes but I do love her. We get up to leave when her voice stops us. "Keep an eye out for enemies Alpha. Your Mate is very valuable and some people will go to extremes to get a white wolf to themselves. " she warns, now completely serious. "I will, don't worry Josephine. Thank you for the warning" I tell her. We walk out and now Evan looks like he is in a daze trying to work through all the info.

Evan's POV

We left Josephine but I don't even remember clearly getting into the car. My mind kept churning over the information she just gave us.

I don't feel all that special but apparently I am. And people will try to hunt me down to capture me to use my powers. That means Jaxon's pack could be in danger because of me. I need to do something to protect them. They are now my people as well.

I start breathing too fast with all the thoughts running through my head. Jaxon notices and pulls over to the side of the road. "It's okay Evan. We will figure it out. And I will always keep you safe. You are my Mate and my life. We will do this together." And with that he pulls me into his arms.

At first I'm stiff but eventually I relax and hold him as well. Yes, I will do anything for this man and my new family. I need to start practicing how to use these powers offensively so I can protect them.

With that thought, I hold onto Jaxon even tighter. I don't ever want to let go of him. He saved me from my nightmare and I can already feel the love building in my heart. He is my soulmate and I will do anything for him.
