Almost the very instant the door shut after Happy, Charlotte scurried into the living room again, leaving EZ in the doorway of the kitchen with an eye on her. "You okay with a visitor?" He asked Katie as Charlotte lingered around the couch quietly.
"Oh," Katie opened her eyes and gave EZ a smile. "I'm good, thanks. Charlotte, come sit with me."
"Are you okay?"
"I will be, I'm just hurting right now."
"Do you need medicine?"
"I do," Katie sighed. "You're too big, you got too mature."
Charlotte jumped off the couch and back to EZ to see what he could do to help. He already knew Katie had a small stash but she needed something more than weed to help with the level of pain she was currently dealing with. He left, only briefly, and returned with a few loose pills.
"Gonna kill me?"
"Never," he laughed. "Here, take these."
"You'll stay with her?" Katie asked, grabbing his hand as he offered her two of the pills.
EZ nodded. "I might have to take her with me but promise she'll be totally safe."
"Okay," Katie said hesitantly before swallowing the pills dry and making the long walk to her bedroom. She knew she could trust EZ, he was easily the most responsible and level-headed of the Mayans and that provided her with enough peace of mind to allow her to relax.
"If they come back?" He asked her, just about to close the door to the bedroom.
Katie shook her head and slowly got into bed. "They won't be back for a while, trust me."

Happy didn't waste any time. He went right to the SAMDINO clubhouse, where they were now calling their home away from home, to find Jax. As expected, Jax was at the bar with a beer and a lit cigarette.
"We have to talk," Happy said from behind Jax, both men knew there would be no words exchanged.
Jax turned. "We finally doing this?" He asked and Happy just nodded. "Alright." Downing his beer, Jax slammed the bottle down and headed outside with Happy, their brothers following right after.
Nothing needed to be said. Jax knew Happy blamed him and, despite his vocal disagreement around the club, he didn't argue back. He could admit it to Katie but he wouldn't, he probably couldn't, admit it to Happy.
"Are we really gonna let this happen?" Juice asked Opie anxiously.
Opie nodded. "They need it."
"They've fought," Juice reminded Opie.
"A few punches won't do it," Opie shook his head. "Someone is gonna get real fucked up."
"I hate this," Juice whined.
"Me too," Opie huffed. "But nothing is gonna heal this divide till someone bleeds."
The fight was fairly even at first, Happy would land a few blows, take a few himself but once Jax caught a solid punch to the head he lost his balance and any real chance of keeping himself from injury. It wasn't until Happy climbed on top of Jax and began to mercilessly pummel him that Opie and Tig stepped in. Opie caught an elbow to the face, allowing Happy to connect a few more times before Tig and Opie managed to pull Happy off Jax.
"Alright brother," Tig said as he pushed Happy back. "It's done." Tig tried to keep Happy away without resorting to violence himself while Opie check is Jax was even conscious. "How you feel?"
