"Agents..." you said as you walked your way to their sides, nodding your head at each of them. Both of them were shocked, their emotion easily written on their faces, they never expected you to become one of them, join the hunt.
"Agent?" Dean inquired, raising his eyebrow, needing to address you with your alias due to the official officials still in the crime scene area.
"Simmons." You expressed confidently. Sam's mouth was opened slightly, shocked seeing the woman you once were who evolve into the confident huntress before him.
"It's nice to see you again, Agent Simmons." He smiled, making his dimples take form upon his cheeks.
You bowed your head a little before speaking up once again, "So, what do we got?" You asked them, heels clicking on the tile flooring as you walked over to where the body was before it was removed.
"43 year old female, coroner said what he suspects the cause of death to be suffocation, or heart attack. He needs to do an autopsy to make a final decision." Dean said in his deep, strong voice.
"You guys check for EMF, sulfur, cold spots?" You walked back over to them, asking in a hushed tone.
"Aside from all of the cabinets and drawers wide open we found nothing." Sam replied, still shocked to see you.
A deputy walked over to the three of you, interrupting the realinvestigation. "Um, Agents, I'm sorry to interrupt but I think you should come check this out, it's....interesting." he trailed.
"I'll take point and stay here. You guys go with the deputy and report your findings back to me later. Okay?" You sternly said to them. Dean opened his mouth in protest but you locked eyes with him and pointed your finger in the direction of the young official, mouthing the word go. You weren't the same woman that they knew you as, you were strong now.
You took out your recorder and pressed the button, seeing the small red light illuminate, "Winchesters. Sam and Dean were here when I arrived on scene, they did a sweep and nothing that is ourbusiness.... Victim was found on the kitchen floor approximately three feet away from the landline phone, perhaps she was trying to make a call for help." You sighed and pressed the button again. The other people were gone now, so you could cut the act. You wandered around and looked for anything abnormal...anything supernatural. You looked through the hutch that was next to the phone, maybe she wasn't trying to get to the phone.
You looked through the top cabinets and just found some paperwork, nothing abnormal for a 43 year old woman. You investigated the large drawer and your eyes landed on a small black bag that was tied shut with brown string. Hex bag.
You took out you phone and snapped a few pictures before grabbing it and made your way to your purse, placing it in there. Your heels echoed through the first floor, alerting others of your whereabouts. You heard the sound of three sets of footsteps, the Deputy, Sam and Dean soon entered. Sam nodded and waved to the deputy as he left the three of you alone. "What are you doing?" Dean's voice boomed and he quickly adjusted his volume, "What the hell are you doing here, Y/N?"
"I'm trying to figure out what happened to this woman...just like you and Sam are here to do." You replied.
"You started hunting?" He yelled through his teeth, eyes piercing yours.
"Yeah, Dean. I did. I chose this, I want to help people, like you both helped me." Dean cut you off.
"You had a normal life. You, you could have just went back on with it. Once you get in this life, it's a death sentence, you don't get out." He finished.
You took a moment to find words accurate enough to express to the older Winchester why you ended up becoming a hunter. "Dean, listen."
"No, Y/N, people like you don't do this." He gestured with his hands to himself and his brother. That was enough for you, that phrase again... people like you...
"No, Dean. You listen." You spoke back to him, voice strong and you stepped right up to his face, your heels making the height difference a little less than normal. "I needed you guys to save me back then because I was blind, completely oblivious to what really is out there. I chose to become a hunter because I didn't want saved anymore. I wanted to help people like me... people that are who I used to be." You paused, anger getting a grip on your tone, you gritted your jaw and began again, cool and calm, "You and Sam both said it... I was like them. I'm not now. And it's not like I could just go back to normal after that. You both know that..." You looked at the both of them, shocking both of them once more. "Now, I am a hunter. I'm one of you." You finished your rant, crossing your arms.
Dean looked at Sam, pursing his lips the way he always did. Sam was looking at you with a half smile pasted on his face. "Well, at least tell me that you haven't been hunting on your own..." Dean questioned you, placing his hands on his hips. You remained silent, making Dean to huff out and let his head drop.
"Well, it's not like I have a choice. Who in the hell do I know in this life other than you two..." your voice trailed off, looking back to the both of them, Sam looked back to you with his famous puppy dog eyes.
"You shouldn't be hunting alone, Y/N, that's dangerous."
"I'm still here aren't I, Dean?" You laughed and pushed his shoulder, he tried his best to not break his stoic expression.
"Come on, let's go." Dean ordered.
"Dean, what about the case. Where are we going?" Sam broke his silence, watching Dean walk towards the door.
"I saw a diner when we got into town, a few miles out, not too far." Dean said opening up the door, "You guys coming?"
Sam extended his arm out motioning for you to walk first. Your heels clicked with your movement towards the door, Dean opened it for you and followed you out, letting Sam exit after him. "Need a ride, Y/N?" Dean asked you, opening up the door to his sexy, black impala, Sam doing the same to the passenger door.
You spun around holding your keys up, "I'd love to ride but..." Dean's eyes landed on your beauty of a car, his eyes widened at the sight. A beautiful, smart, strong woman, who hunted and had great taste in cars... it was his dream woman.
"She yours?" Dean asked, eyebrows raised. You smiled and nodded.
"Isn't she beautiful?" You beamed, Dean nodded.
"We are going to Patsy's, just a couple miles south from here, you joining?" He asked smiling slightly.
"It's dangerous to hunt alone, isn't it? I'll see you guys there and talk about the case." You smiled back to him and got into your car and roared the engine to life and drove south. Dean stood there and watched in awe.
"Dude, are we going to go or are you just going to watch her drive away?" Sam harassed from the passenger seat. Dean sat down and made baby come alive at the turn of his wrist.
"Shut up, Sammy." He snarled, Sam's dimples showed again.
