At First Sight

Just another Tuesday evening in the cafe. I was sitting on the counter , waiting for the customers to arrive. I worked at my uncle's coffee shop 'Real me' , as a part time job. I mean it wasn't always easy managing with university as I had to sacrifice the time in which I could have watched a movie or even prepared for tests but the job did offer a good amount of money. Plus , my Uncle Joon was always present at the cafe and he would help me with my homework and assignments.

I yawned as the clock ticked 6 o'clock. "Why aren't people coming here today? It's rainy today , the weather is nice , I'm sure people would love a warm cup of coffee and a sandwich" I thought to myself. While I was lost in my thoughts, the bell on the door rang indicating a customer had arrived only to find out that he was not a customer. He was tall and had black curly hair. His green eyes and his fair skin was literally glowing. "Hey" he said with a deep voice in a British accent. 'Omg! His voice is even more attractive than his appearance. I couldn't concentrate. I couldn't reply, I was literally frozen.' "H-hi" I replied while stuttering. His hair and clothes were wet as he was not carrying an umbrella which was even more distracting. "Oof , I think I'm gonna scream.""I'm Benedict, Ben for short,I'm looking for Kim Namjoon. I wanted to talk to him about the new job, you know the one where I do different impression from movies and TV shows on the customer's request. "
'Oof,I can't even! Ugh! What do I do?! OK Monika, stay calm don't make a fool out of yourself.' "Yeah, he's just out for sometime he went to get some sugar for the cupcakes as you can see there aren't a lot of people here right now so he decided to leave He'll be back in a few minutes, don't you want to wait for him or come back tomorrow?"
I'm glad kept my cool..... "Oh, that's OK I don't mind waiting." I don't know what why for some reason I was glad that he didn't go. "OK then,You can hang your coat over there So it will dry by the time you leave." "OK thanks,"he replied with a small smile. "By the way, I'm Monika "I said while smiling like an idiot and he returned a smile and said "Hello Monika , it was nice meeting you."

'Oh my god what the hell just happened?' I was hyperventilating under the counter, hiding from Benedict. I was gathering my thoughts and was trying to process what just happened. I was screaming internally. "Alright Monika ,don't lose your cool. You'll be fine. Just wait till Namjoon gets back and it won't be awkward anymore.' Speaking of Namjoon, the bell rang again, I guess he was back. Yup, there I saw him when I got up from my hiding place holding a couple of bags of sugar. Namjoon came up to me and handed me the bags of sugar. I told him about Benedict he gave me a warm smile, probably excited to see what talents Benedict has in store for him. And to be honest, I was pretty thrilled too, to see what he could do.

"Well, let's see what you what you've got ,Ben" Namjoon said. Benedict got on the stage and did an impression of Snape from Harry Potter. "Wow, he's so good "I said to myself and the few people in the café and Namjoon agreed as they started clapping and cheering for him. The customers then started asking him to do mimic their favorite characters, and he did pretty well. 'I guess he'd make a great comedian or an actor.' While he was performing, I began to wonder about him. 'Why is he so careless about his health ? Why did he not have an umbrella? I decided to make a coffee for Benedict after peaking up. I wonder what type of coffee he'd like, hot or cold? With milk or without milk? Sugar or no sugar? Latte or Cappuccino? I ended up making him a cappuccino with milk and sugar. Just when I was done, I started getting nervous again. 'Oof ! Why so I feel this way around him? Do I maybe l-like him ? N-No . I just met him today. I don't know anything about him other than his name and that he is super attractive. It's too soon to feel this way.'
