Into Your World

"Jean!!!! Jean!!!!!" My friend, Cherry, called from somewhere. I look everywhere and I founf her running towards me.

"Hey.." I said. She and Camielle were trying to catch they're breath after reaching me. We went to the cafeteria and look for a table which no one occupies.

"What's up?" I added.

"Nagreview ka ba para sa quiz (Did you review for the quiz today)?" Camielle asked. I nod and continue on looking at my phone. I'm looking at my special someone. haha.. It's Sehun. EXO-Sehun. I'm a fan of EXO. :) 

"Ako hindi. haha.. (I didn't.)" She said.

"Hala... long quiz daw di ba??.. haha (What? It's a long quiz, right)?" I asked. She nod and look at her bag for her notes. The both of them started to review. Then my other friends came. They review while me? I'm reviewing my notes while listening to EXO-songs.

By the way, my name is Jean Danielle Marasigan. Second year Accounting Technology student at STI. Well, actually I just transfered here this semester. I was once an accountancy student in Colegio de San Juan de Letran. My parents can't afford the tuition fee so I transfered. I have good grades but I didn't meet the requirement grades for my scholarship that's why I transfered. I'm a proud Filipina and I just started loving Kpop after my boyfriend broke up with me.

To tell you the truth, when I first met EXO, my first impression is "They look the same. Like twins". But then after searching and knowing everything about them, well actually not everything, I can distinguish who is who. :)

They inspire me to study hangul and hangul writing. I want to go to Korea, work and live there. It will happen, soon.

"Oy Jean, nakulong ka na naman sa mundo mo. (Hey, Jean, you're lost in your world again)." Iyah nudge me. I look at her with apologectic eyes.

My day ended like usual. I arrived home and went directly to my room that I share with my aunt.

You know, after being a Kpop fan, I was always left in my own world. Always out of place when I'm with my friends. I'm always left alone. It hurts because this is the first time I got interested with something other that anime but evrything and everyone is against it. I don't know what I should do but thankfully, Iyah is there for me. 

My tears started to flow on my cheeks again for the fourth night. My aunt was not here because she's at work.

I look for my laptop and opened it. It takes time and then I opened email account.

I always imagine that I can meet my bias because truthfully, I can't even afford to buy the cheapest ticket to attend a concert and gladly, after being an EXO fan, they still didn't have they're concert here in the Philippines.

How would it feel to see them even in distance? How would it feel to be near them? How would it feel to shake hands with them and to talk to them? I don't know. Because I'm just one of those Kpop fans that can't do anything but to wait for updates in the internet. Those fans that needs to sit infront of their laptop, desktop, look at their cellphone and just download pictures and videos of their idols.

My life was boring until I met them. My friend, Cherry, introduced them to me. EXO-Kris is the first member that I know. Then next was Luhan and of course, my bias, EXO-Sehun. I have known Super Junior, SNSD and SHINee before. Even other Korean idols like Lee Min Ho, Jang Geun Suk, and many more but I wasn't really into kpop before until EXO.

"I'm hungry." I told to myself and notice that it's 8pm already. I have to eat dinner then focus to EXO again because I don't have anything to do. We've just finish our Pre-finals exam and last week we went to Enchanted Kingdom for our school's anniversary.

"I need to cook." I told myself again after checking that there's nothing to eat in the fridge. I turn on my phone and search for my musics. I look for EXO's song and played it. I didn't mind the people that can hear it as long as I'm happy. Selfish huh??.. I began chopping the onion and garlic even though I hate them, then thevegetables and began cooking. I love half-cooked vegetables. It's just... yummy.

After dinner, I went to my room again. I opened my laptop again and began scrolling... scrolling... and.... scrolling when something catches my eyes.

"SM Entertainment Scholarship Examination." I read what is written at SMTown's page. "Really?" I clicked it.

"SM Entertainment is offering a scholarhip to anyone who has good grades and is willing to work for them after graduation. It is offered to college students only." I read the content.

"Scholarship??? For real??? Am I dreaming?" I scrolled again to read the further details and it said that Ineed to fill up the scholarship form and answer the exam that they gave. They also require a certificate that will prove that Im a college student. I tried it. I fill up that form and submit the requirements. Well, good for me, I have received my National Certificate yesterday. National Certificate is issued when a candidate has demonstrated competence in all units of competency that comprised a qualification. It was given by TESDA but of course you need to be at least in college for a year or more and you've ungone the examination that they'll give. And I passed. 

I sent my requirements and hopefully, I'll past and be one to be given the scholarship. What happened if I passed? I will be given an oppurtunity to study in Korea under the SMTown scholarship. They will pay your tuition fees and will be given an allowance every two weeks. Is that even possible? The result will be announced next week. Of course, that includes your ticket to South Korea. But the consequence is you need to maintain an average of 90%.

"I wish they accept me. I have good grades and I really need this so that I can't be a burden to my family. I'm a first born. I really need this." I said. I turned off my laptop after making sure that I did'n't forget anything. I called my mom to tell her about the scholarship and she hoped too that I'll get it.

I turned my phone off and pray before sleeping. Tomorrow is weekend so no need to worry if I get up late. I'll just have to do the laundry and the house cleaning. :)
