The new chapter

Part 31 Chads troubles

"Mommy!" Hope woke up in, shivering in the late night. She couldn't sleep and felt really cold.

Hearing the little one made Chad remind of Zelena and his unborn child. He always loved being around Hope but at the moment he really wasn't in the mood. "I uhm, I think I gotta go. You have your hands full with Hope." He said in a sad tone.

"Oh no! Stay it's totally fine." Emma smiled at Chad unaware of how sad hearing Hope made him. She went upstairs to Hope. 

"Another drink?" Regina asked chad

"That wouldn't hurt..." Chad gave his glass to Regina and watched Emma go upstairs to Hope.

Emma walked into Hope's room. "What's wrong?" She asked in a whisper. 

"It-tt's co-colld.." Hope shivered.

"Aww baby come here." Emma picked up Hope with her blanket and wrapped her in it. "Do you want to say goodnight to Gina and Chad?"

"Uhhhuu..." Hope held herself close to her Moms chest.

Emma walked downstairs with Hope in her arms. "Look who wanted to say goodnight."

Chad put on his fake smile when Emma and the little one came downstairs. "Hi little star. Can't you fall asleep?"

"Cold." Hope said in a cute but stubborn way and wrapped her arms around her mothers neck.

Emma laughed softly. "I have to admit her room was very cold and the had thrown off her blanket." Emma sat down on the couch and tried to get Hope warm

Chad laughed softly. "She's a naughty one, isn't she?"

"Oh, you don't even wanna know." Regina looked at Hope who barley keeping her eyes open.

"She's the sweetest.." Chad looked at his empty glass and decided to put it down, he didn't want to home to Nook's place as a drunk when also Robin and Alice were there.

"She is." Emma smiled at her daughter who she loved more than anything in the world.

Regina stared at the two for a moment before turning back to Chad. "Had enough?" She mentioned to his empty glass.

"I think so..." Chad kind of dreamed away. "I just can't believe I did this to Zelena, if I hadn't go away, maybe this would have never happened..."

"It's not your fault. There were mistakes on both sides and I don't want this to be a reason to break up you two." Regina sighed. Zelena had come so far with her happy beginning.

"If there is any reason, it will be my family. Once they hear Zelena is pregnant, my family would see it as a shame on the family Green, it'll mean a fight." Chad whispered.

Emma joined the two. "I get that, that is a big issue, does Zelena know about that..?"

"Yea, she knows. I told her but if she listened..." Chad sighed. "She only cares about her wishes and doesn't think about other consequences..."

"It isn't like that. She really does realise that she made a mistake.  She told me herself.."

"Emma, she lied and a lot too..." Chad turned around. "She constantly makes mistakes, even tonight, banging the bad guy..." he scoffed.

"W-wait what?"

Chad hung his head. "My wife and Scar..." he swollowed and continued. "Robin told me that Zelena and I were having date night but I haven't spoken to Zelena in weeks now. So Regina and I went to Zelena to check on her to see if she was okay but we found her rolling around with that lion guy... there's nothing I can do.." His lip shivered, he tried his hardest not to cry. "She and I are over..."

"Wait why the hell would she?" Emma was confused that she forgot Hope was still there.

"I don't know and I don't think I want to know..." Chad let down a tear. He looked at little Hope who slept in her moms arms. "Second thought Regina, hit me another..."

Regina poured Chad another drink, feeling sorry for him that he had to see Zelena with Scar. She walked up to Emma, gently rubbing Hope on her little head. "She has such a beautiful mother." She smiled and looked at Emma.

"Not as beautiful as the you." Emma kissed Regina softly and held her hand with her free hand. Hope was erring quite heavy to hold with just one arm but Regina helped her supporting her little body. She was so lucky to have Regina in her life, she wouldn't miss it for the world!
