The new chapter

They had to wait for 20 minutes until Robin and Raven were called inside. Regina, Zelena and the kids stayed behind in the waiting room. "Mommy?"

"Yes my munchkin."

Elphoe looked around. "I don't see any toys to play? Is it a long talk they have?" She said when the woman who interviewed closed the door behind Raven. She just wanted to play so she could kill some time.

Regina looked around and saw there was no one. She was thankful her magic also worked out of town and she magiced some toys for Elphie to play with.

For the first few minuts Hope stayed seated next to her mom but soon she got bored and joined Elphie.

After the door closed the woman, neatly dressed, offered the pair a seat and then sat herself down. "My name is Mrs Poll. Thank you for being here today Mr. and Mrs. Hood. Do you have the IDs with you just as I asked over the phone?" She asked politely.

Robin hadn't let go of the card and so gave his ID to the woman. "This must be it." He smiled. "Thank you for this opportunity Mrs Poll."

"Always, mr Hood." Mrs Poll answered and turned her attention to the woman.

Raven handed her ID over to the woman and waited while she typed some stuff in the computer. Mrs Poll gave the ID cards back after a short while and grabbed a pen and paper. "So, Mrs Hood. Why are you and your husband here today?" She asked professionally.

Raven thought it was such a stupid question to ask, I mean wasn't it obvious? Still she tried to answer as best as she could. "Well, we would like to adopt a child. Since we can't have kids we decided this would be the best option." Raven looked at Robin and smiled slightly.

Mrs Poll wrote every single word that Raven said down. "Do you have experience with kids? Have any relatives who have kids?"

Robin thought it was obvious because Elphie and Hope were waiting outside for them. "Yes, we got 2 nieces, aged 5 and 9. And we have another niece and nephew who are over 20." He smiled, he was very proud to call all those kids their kind of family. "The youngest is weekly to be found at our place. She really feels like home at ours." He added, also everything he said was being taken into writing which was kind of nerve wrecking.

"Before we continue, can you describe your place you live in? Do you have enough space, can you go outside, save neighbourhood etcetera?" Mrs Poll asked.

Raven folded her hands together in her lap. "Well, we live in a pretty big free standing house. We have plenty of room in and around the house. There's a forest near our place and the neighbourhood is very safe." She made the last part up because basically they were the only ones living there.

For the first time in for ever, Mrs Poll showed the couple a genuine smile. "That sounds wonderful! And it is in," She picked up the file from the couple and searched for a town name. "Storybrooke?"

"Storybrooke, yes." Robin replied. He held Ravens hand tight. He was still so nervous even though it was just an interview.

The woman nod, that was all she did before continuing. "Do either one of you have health conditions that we should take in count? Psychological, decease?"

Robin saw the tention in his wife's eyes so he answered for both. "We are both blessed with perfectly healthy life's. Just like our family and the people he hold close to heart."

"I see." Mrs Poll wrote down her last sentence and put down her pen. "The last question I'm going to ask you might be the biggest and the hardest yet to answer. Do you love each other?" She folder her hands and stared at the 2.

"Yes we do." Raven said after a few seconds. She found it a weird question but she was getting used to the weird questions by now. "I love him and always will." She simply added after what she said before. "I am lost without my Robin."

Robin smiled and looked in his wife's eyes. "She is the person I'm meant to spend the rest of my life with. She gives me strength and takes care of everyone around her. Mrs Poll, I guarantee you, there is no wife more perfect then mine." He finished his little speech with a kiss on Ravens lips.

Raven couldn't hide the smile on her face. She turned back to Mrs Poll. "Is there anything else you want to ask?"

Mrs Poll nod. "That is all Mrs Hood. I will contact you in a week." She stood up as did the pair. "Next Thursday, does that work?"

"Perfectly Mrs Poll." Robin replied and gave her a formal handshake. 'Was that all?' He thought. Raven also gave Mrs Poll a handshake and with that they left and went back to the others.

"How did it go?" Regina asked when she saw Raven and Robin.

Raven let out a sigh. "I think it went well." She looked at Regina and smiled. "She will contact us next Thursday."

"Robin!" Elphie ran towards the only male in the room and jumped around his neck.

"Hey, little monkey. Did you play well?" He asked and walked over to the little play ground that Regina had set up for the kids.

Mrs Poll witnessed the kindness of Robin and smiled. After she closed the door of her office and left the family for what it was at the moment.

"I have a good feeling about this sis." Zelena put an arm around Raven. "To see that woman smile, you have done something good."

"I hope so." Raven was truly the happiest she had ever been. "I used to be so annoyed when people were this happy. How did  I become like this."  She laughed.

Hope had joined her mom. "I'm sure you'll be a great mom Raven. Elphie always talks about the time she spends with you and Robin."

Regina smiled down at her daughted and stroked her hand through Hope's hair.

"I think we should celebrate with ice cream, who wants?" Zelena suggested.

"Me! Mommy me!" Elphie left robin and run to her mother. "I want ice cream!"

"Me!" Hope said excited.

"You're always in for ice cream, aren't you?" Regina laughed. "I think it's a great plan. Let's go."

After ice cream every family went their own way home. Zelena and Elphie went home to the farmhouse. Regina and Hope got home Where Emma had prepared dinner and Raven and Robin enjoyed a lovely walk through the woods.

I love this chapter so much! It really gives you a sparkle of hope when your life is a mess... I am so happy for Raven and Robin! Do you like the name Raven for The Evil Queen?
