Hanna nearly broke out into tears when she saw the faint vision of Emily standing in the middle of the woods, it'd been so long since she'd seen her best friend and it was true that her death hit the blonde the hardest out of them all. Aria had comforted Hanna, wrapping an arm around her waist and telling her that this was a good thing, finally seeing Emily again. Spencer on the other hand couldn't grasp the concept of Emily being able to talk to them and vice versa, it wasn't logical, people who died couldn't talk to the living. While the brunette was trying to make sense of this, Alison couldn't tear her eyes away from the ghost, finally after all this time she saw her. She looked amazing, apart from the small fact that she was dead and currently very opaque, but even as a ghost Alison could see how much she had changed over the 2 years the blonde had been gone.
They all made their way back to the cabin, Alison looking back to see if Emily was still following them, hoping to God this wouldn't turn out to be one big nightmare.
Spencer started the fireplace up, since she was shivering from the cold air that had been nipping at them outside. Emily strolled over to the couch and sat down, observing everyone, Aria and Hanna were getting some popcorn – the blonde complaining that she was starving and that whatever was going to happen next will require popcorn – and Alison joined the brunette on the couch. Oh man, this is awkward. Someone please break this silence, Emily thought to herself while playing around with a pen on the table.
"Whoa, you can move things?" Hanna said as she came over with a huge bowl of popcorn and popped it down on her lap as she took a seat across from the girls, mesmerized as the pen flew through the air in front of Emily.
"I found out that if I channel my energy right then I can move things, and also make myself not fall through chairs and walls," Emily said a little louder than she normally would so the girls could hear her clearly. Hanna found herself gobbling more popcorn into her mouth as she intently listened, the blonde didn't want to get into a long talk about how Emily could be here when she is dead, or how she's able to talk to them, she just wanted to enjoy spending time with the person she wished had never left in the first place.
"Han, as much as this is very informative and entertaining, can we move on?" Aria said from the couch next to Hanna, she got an approving head nod from Spencer who had just finished putting some more kindling on the fire before grabbing a small stool to sit on.
"What do you guys want to know?" The ghost asked as she set down the pen.
What shocked everyone was Alison, who shifted in her chair all the while looking at her hands before asking, "How come we can see and talk to you?"
"Well I didn't know why before but then the voices told me-"
"Whoa, hold on voices? What voices?" Spencer asked from the stool, a confused expression on plastered on her face. Oh, opps, of course they don't know about them, Emily thought.
"They kinda help me on my way with my unfinished business and also keep me in check with the rules," The brunette said before getting up and pacing, she was able to think more clearly while moving—that probably came from the fact that she used to think the best when swimming or when running in the early hours of the morning, or it could be the whole 'restless ghost' thing. "I wouldn't be talking to you guys if they hadn't said it was alright too."
"What would they have done if you broke the rules?" Aria asked, popping a few pieces of popcorn into her mouth.
"Well that's just it, I've already broken a lot of rules and they haven't done anything, but they did tell me if I tried contacting people that I would be taken away from everyone."
