Case File: Akatsuki Amagi

Just as the sun merged with the horizon, Naoto headed her way to the hotel with Nanako by her side. Their steppes echoed through the halls, questioning the rest of the Investigation Team. They banged on Yu's door, since they were all gathered there. Naoto swung the door open and stood up tall, gripping tighter to Nanako's hand.

" Listen Up! Today were catching the murder!" she announced.

" TODAY? Why today?" Yukiko asked.

Naot walked in and Nanako followed behind. " Because, Yukiko, I don't have a definite image of the murder but, I know that tonight's victim will be you or me."

Nanako straightened her posture. " Big bro, I'm sorry..."

Narukami stood up. " Nana-chan, I'm glad your safe." she knew Nanako was smart, but he also noticed how much she was growing up. She was mature, she knew how to handle being alone and she found her way to a trusted adult when she got lost. He knew that Nanako would have a bright future.

" Here's what we'll do." Naoto clicked her pen and brought out a blank paper. " Looking back on the previous murder, we know that this person is going for women. And the killer also prefers to kill in the night. Nanako, care to explain your analysis?"

Nanako let out a breath. She gathered her thoughts then spoke. " Basically, the murder kills in the dark to blend in. He killing the ones who'd get it it's way of achieving its main goal. It's main goal is one of us. By killing the girls, the murder is trying to weaken us."

Naoto tapped her head." Exactly. So tonight, we're going to put my plan into action." She started to draw a few stick figures together. One of them was smaller than the other. " Yukiko, Nana-chan and I will stand by different areas of the buildings, acting as victims."

She drew three more figures with weird attributes. One had two circles around its neck and another had a scar on its forehead. The third looked normal. " Narukami-kun and the others will surround the inn, contact me if you see anything at all, you got that? Each one of you will be in different areas, one one the roof for as a hawk-eye. Another person will stay on the ground, where they can meet the suspect up close and personal. The last person will be right in the middle. Somewhere. Does everyone get it?"

" Hold on a sec, are we doing this tonight?" Yosuke asked

" Yes Hanamura-kun, tonight" Naoto glared, as if he could be dumb enough.

" If we find the murder," Yosuke held his phone up. " We should text something to each other, like a code word."

" What about murder, but in capital letters." Kanji suggested, using his common sense.

" Nah that sounds lame. What about scythe?" Yosuke thought he was a genius.

Nanko pulled on to Yosuke's and Kanji's shirts. " Wouldn't our names be easier?"

" You know what." Kanji said. " The kid's a genius."

Each member of the team got into position, Yukiko was by a stairwell with Nanako, you you walk farther down, you would find the Detective Prince waiting for her prey. Yosuke was outside the building with Yu, patrolling both sides. Kanji was the hawk-eye, even though he had a minor fear of heights. Nanako tagged along with Yukiko,the plan was they would try to kill two birds with one stone since Naoto was a prince and an assassination on a prince would be risky. Common sense. Yukiko's phone vibrated in her pocket.

" O-oh!" Yukiko picked up her phone, checking the notification she received. Low battery, please plug in charger. But she took this as an advantage to run an errand. " Nana-chan, stay here, Naoto needs me for a minute. She says you should stay here."
