"Bye, Saerin!" Taehyung waved at me with an ear-to-ear grin.

"Bye," I forced a smile.

I bit my lips, trying not to cry as I turned around, walking to nowhere in particular.

I wanted to be alone, so I decided to walk around the city to clear out my mind.

I let my feet take me to wherever God knows. I looked like a fool, wandering without a destination.

My chest felt really heavy, and I wanted to cry everything out, but I felt so drained to the point I couldn't even cry.

I wandered around until I got physically tired. I found myself sitting on a bench infront of a fountain.

I let out a deep long sigh, trying to let out all my feelings.

My phone rang, and it was a call from Jimin.

"Are you okay? Where are you?" Jimin's voice was drawn with worry.

"I'm inside a garbage truck at Daegu," I managed to joke although I felt mentally sore.

I heard Jimin cackle silently from the other line before he cleared his throat, trying to be serious.

"Where are you, Saerin?" He asked.

"Somewhere near a fountain," with that, I hung up.

I didn't want anyone around me yet.

I sighed, and then my phone rang once again.

"Taehyung?"

"M-Mira.. I miss.. you!" His voice was raspy and he sounded... drunk.

"It's Saerin. Are you drunk? Where are you?" I asked. Now I sounded like Jimin.

"Oh hey pretty," He chuckled.
Okay, I told myself it's not the right time to be flustered.

"Taehyung, where are you?" I asked once again.

"I thought you left me."

"Taehyung—"

"You came back, you promised me," His voice was a little cheerful.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm at ..."

The colorful led lights met me as I entered the bar.

The smell of liquor and alcohol lingered around the whole place. I cringed when I saw a couple making out on the corner of the room.

My eyes scanned the room for Taehyung. I gasped when I felt a hand harshly grip my wrist.

It was an unfamiliar guy whose breath smelled like a strong scent of rum.

"Wanna dance?" He snaked his arms around my waist, and I suddenly became nervous.

I pushed him away but it was no use, he was too strong for me.

He was about to lean his face toward mine for a kiss when a tall figure pushed him away, causing him to stumble down.

He stood back up but the guy landed his fist on the perverted one's stomach, making him faint as he lost his breath.

He turned to me and I immediately recognized him.

"Taehyung?" I asked but he just gave me a drunken smile.

"Do you like turkeys? I saw a pink one a while ago, it had..." He paused, counting with his fingers.
"Four wings!"

"Let's go home, you're drunk." I grabbed his arm and dragged his unsteady figure out of the place.

I hailed a taxi but all of the passing ones were occupied.

I felt a pair of arms around me, wrapping my body tight. He smelled like mint as usual, but alcohol still smelled stronger.

Finally, after a few minutes, a taxi pulled up infront of us.

I helped him enter and then sat beside him, a safe distance in between us.

Taehyung closed the distance by scooting closer to me. He wrapped one of his arms around my stomach, and leaned his head on my shoulder.

"Hey," He stared at me innocently.

Those eyes that made me fall in love.

I love you. I wish I could tell you.

I knew I was deceiving myself if I thought the old Taehyung was back.

So I looked away and avoided his gaze, scared to fall deeper in love.
