"Ryan! They're here!" Andy shouted from downstairs.

Andy and his mum were in the kitchen waiting for Rye so they could know their exam results. Rye came down not looking forward to knowing how bad he did. Andy opened his envelope first and he read his out first.

He opened it and looked at the paper before reading it out loud.

He read out everything on the paper and Lily have him a massive hug, she couldn't have been more proud. Rye was proud of Andy but needed to know his results so he opened the letter.

Rye read his out and he felt like crying. It was his fault that he didn't revise and in his eyes he didn't do well. His results were actually very good. Their mother congratulated Rye too and off they went upstairs.

That night Rye cried himself to sleep. Quietly do Andy wouldn't hear, he didn't want him to worry.

He doesn't need to know you care. It doesn't affect him, just let him be. He thought to himself.

Boy, was he wrong. Andy cared. He cared so much and Rye would never know just how much that was.
