"Darling, I'm telling you," Sherlock whines as I force him into bed to rest. "I am NOT sick!" He tries to fool me, only for his own body to betray him at that moment. Right as the word 'sick' leaves his own two lips, he launches into a coughing fit that ultimately leaves him out of breath and energy.

Making him lay back in bed once more, I smile down at him before placing a kiss to his forehead. "I know you don't like to admit you're sick or hurt or anything that could be possibly related to weakness," I point out, receiving a side-eye glare back from him. "But you have to at least admit it this one time."

Turning his eyes away from me, he sighs and pouts with a small sniffle, causing me to feel a little bit of sympathy for the ill man-child. To try and comfort him, I lay down beside him and wrap my arms around him in a warm embrace; however, in response, he scoots away from me. "Love, I don't want you getting sick." He explains, concern filling his voice.

I slightly laugh to myself at his words before responding. "That wasn't exactly admitting you're sick, but I'll take it," I tell him, watching as nuzzles his head into his pillow. At my words, he chuckles, only to erupt into amother coughing fit as soon as he does so. "Oh, darling don't stress yourself," I tell him, rubbing his back to help him.

Once his coughing does die down, I move closer to Sherlock and wrap my arms around him once more. Now with his back against my chest, I smile and push my head against his shoulder, the warm heat radiating from his skin indicating he probably has a fever. "You're cold, aren't you?" I ask him, noticing his body slightly shivering.

"Yes," He answers me, tugging the blanket closer to him. A few moments pass before Sherlock sighs. "You don't have to stay here and take care of me," he tells me, making me frown. "I know you have more important things to do."

"But I want to," I argue, leaning down and kissing his cheek, my lips coming into contact with his hot and damp skin. "Besides, I enjoy doing so," I assure him, getting up to get another blanket for him. Throwing it over him, I place a hand on my hip while sarcastically smiling. "It's one of the few times you're not a true arse."

Once again, he only glares in response.
