? Game Over (Tyler Joseph x Reader)

"Tyler, what's wrong?" Josh asked putting his hand on Josh's shoulder.

Tyler sat there backstage on a couch breathing heavily with his head in between his hands, his elbows resting on his knees. He was rocking himself back and forth in an attempt to calm his nerves.

"Y/N is seeing us perform in 14 days," he spat out in a rushed sentence.

"That's great!" Josh cheered, lightly shaking Tyler back and forth at the news.

"N-no," Tyler stuttered.

Josh furrowed his brow in confusion. "What do you mean no? I thought you liked her a lot, and you two would be able to meet for the first time in person. That's an amazing opportunity,"

"Josh...I...I don't know. What if she finds out I'm me?" Tyler asked.

"What do you mean? You're great, dude!" Josh cheered, trying to lift his best friends spirit.

"I mean, what if she finds out I'm me? And you're you? That we're Twenty One Pilots and her view changes entirely," he asks, tone uneven as he seems to be on the verge of tears.

"Tyler," Josh breathed. "I can't lie...there's a chance that can happen,"

Tyler shuddered upon hearing Josh's words.

"...but, if she's anything like you've told me she is from the past few months, almost year, of knowing her...I doubt she would care," he replied, rubbing his friends back lightly while giving a small smile.

Tyler sighed and lifted his head up from his hands, looking at Josh.

"She is pretty amazing, huh..." Tyler trailed, looking at the carpet and scuffing his shoe lightly against the floor.

"From what she makes herself out to be, and from the conversations and game play I've overheard, she seems like the perfect fit for a guy like you,"

"Thanks, Josh,"

"Are you going to go?" Josh asked.

"Screw it. Yeah. I'm gonna go." Tyler said with a small boost of confidence in his tone.

"That's my boy!" Josh said with a full smile and laughing in excitement.

"I'm gonna go see Y/N and I'm gonna show who I really am," Tyler said standing up and making his way out to the stage with Josh.

"This is sick!" Josh yelled.

"SO SICK!"

The two high fived before making their way out of the dressing room and down the hall before reaching the stage to start the show.

Later that night, as per your usual time of around 12pm, you called Tyler.

"Hey you," you said with a slight giggle.

"Hi Y/N," Tyler said with a smile plastered across his face upon hearing your voice.

"How was your day?" you ask while twirling with a piece of your hair.

"It was good, how was your day?" he asked as he sat down in the tour bus, loading up his computer.

"Can't complain, so what are we gonna play tonight?" you ask as you did the same except in your gaming chair at your desk.

"Fortnite?" he asked.

"Fortnite." you responded.

"Coo-" before Tyler could finish, Josh got on to the tour bus with Debby.

"dUUUUUDEEEE." Josh yelled

Debby laughed while slightly slapping his shoulder.

"Shhh! Tyler is talking to someone," she whispered.

You heard her voice, but weren't aware of the fact that it was Josh's fiancé (who you envied because she was so gorgeous and sweet and kind and the literal definition of a good person).

"...who is that?" you asked, hearing a woman's voice.

"Oh it's no one," he laughed.

"Um...do you have someone over?" you ask, worry beginning to taint your tone of voice.

"No, no, it's just my friends." he answered casually.

"Are you..y'know...close?" you asked, regarding Debby who you thought was a random girl with him.

"Yeah, we're really close" Tyler replied, thinking you were asking about Josh.

"O-oh...o-okay," you replied, feeling your heart start to ache at the thought of him being with someone when you thought you both had mutual feelings for each other.

"Are you okay?" Tyler asked, noticing your shift in attitude.

"I'm fine," you lie.

"Alright then," he said, brushing off his small worry.
