A Timeless Eternity ? Edward Cullen

Melody's PoV

I smile up at Edward, leaning into him as we sit in the back of a taxi, which was driving through the streets of Rio de Janeiro. I turn away from his loving gaze as I glance out of the window watching the local people dance to the street music.

I feel Edward move forward and whisper to the guy driving the taxi. The taxi stops moving and Edward entwines his hand with mine, tugging me out of the taxi.

"What are you doing?" I ask confused.

He just smiles at me, pulling me through the crowd. I furrow my eyebrows as we enter a space near the music and dancing couples.

He turns to me and whispers into my ear, "dance with me."

I nod and place my arms around his neck as I feel his arm wrap gently onto my waist. I smile as he sways us side to side, to the beats of the music in the background.

I laugh as he twirls me around, before pulling me close. I stare at his face smiling widely, receiving a mirrored expression.

I slowly lean in and place a gentle kiss onto his lips. He returns the kiss, as I place my hand on his cheek.

I place my head against his forehead as he pulls away slightly. I breathe heavily as he whispers to me again.

"Let's go."

I grin at him as he proceeds to direct me back over to the taxi. We get in and the man drives off towards the sea.

We come to a stop, and get out of the taxi. Edward pays the driver as I open the trunk and take out our suitcases.

I go to carry them, when I feel Edward's hand hovering over mine.

"I'll get them," he says softly.

I roll my eyes at his gentleman manners, but nod anyway. I then follow him over towards a boat, watching as he places our luggage into the back. He gets in and turns to me holding out his hand.

I smile at him, "so we're not staying in Rio?"

He shakes his head, "no. Just passing through."

I roll my eyes, placing my hand in his as he carefully helps me onto the boat. I sit down next to him, staring at the glimmering sea as Edward starts up the boat.

He starts directing the boat in a specific direction, as I lean back and stargaze. I smile when I see a heart within the stars.

"So, are we almost there?" I ask curiously.

He chuckles at me, "we're close."

I sit up straight and look ahead, noticing an island emerging in the horizon.

I turn to Edward expectantly.

He smiles, "that's Isle Esme. It's a wedding gift from Carlisle."

I watch as we edge closer, smiling widely as Edward parks the boat. I then climb out as Edward turns off the engine. I swiftly take off my sandals, as Edward entwines his hand with mine.
