My Little Kitten

I've been restless since Lucy got kittenapped. Sting, Rogue and I were having a discussion in the mansion's spacious living room. I was pacing back and forth impatiently while Sting and Rogue sat on the comfy lounge. We were discussing ways to catch the Lucy thief and then I plan to threaten to burn him to ash if he doesn't tell me where he's keeping Lucy. If I find out something's happened to her, I will literally burn him to ashes.

"Natsu, calm down. You're making me dizzy, we'll get Lucy back alright" Sting said. "How can I calm down when he could be torturing her right at this moment?! He might be starving her or locking her away in a cage or both! She must be so scared!" I replied worriedly. "I don't know what to tell you but we'll get her back unharmed" Sting said. "This doesn't happen often but Sting is right" Rogue said. "What is that supposed to mean?!" Sting exclaimed, offended. "Sh, I'm talking. I have a plan" Rogue said. "Go on?" I asked as I sat down on the opposite lounge.

"I found some perfume in Mr Jewell's room and..." "probably from a lover" Sting interrupted Rogue. "Don't interrupt me. If we put this around the mansion floor on the inside, the Black Wolf will step in it and lead us to his hideout where Lucy is" Rogue continued. "Brilliant idea Rogue!" I complimented, "I could come up with a brilliant plan too" Sting mumbled with a pout. "Jealous, are we?" Rogue teased, "what? No" Sting looked away. While they had their banter, I was feeling a lot more confident about finding Lucy.

Later when night fell, we went to our same guard positions that we had the previous night. Rogue said we had to act like we were going to catch him so he doesn't get suspicious. If we just hid and waited he might think it's a trap and run away then we wouldn't find Lucy. So, I was stuck guarding the South again with nothing to release my pent-up energy.

It wasn't long until I heard something slam against a wall inside the mansion. I was sure that the sound was Rogue fighting the Black Wolf and one of them got slammed into a wall. Running as fast as I could towards the fight, I finally made it on time as I saw a ninja fighting Sting and Rogue in the lounge room. 'So cool, a ninja! Wait, you can't be thinking about that!' I thought as I rushed at the ninja with my flaming fist.

He dodged my attack and jumped out of the window. I watched as he used his air magic to fly up to the second floor window. As he disappeared inside, we quickly ran up the stairs after him. Once we got there, he was already gone like the wind but we still had our trap. We walked outside and sniffed the air for the perfume. Luckily for us, the perfume made a trail to where the Black Wolf ran off to.

We were able to track the scent to a wooden cabin. I could smell Lucy's scent from inside. 'I'm coming Lucy' I thought as we sneaked closer to the cabin window. We peaked in to see the Black Wolf remove his mask. "Hiya Lucy, I'm back" he said as he crouched down in front of Lucy. I was relieved that she was fine but my blood boiled as I saw him petting her and she was happily allowing him. "I'll get you some food" he said as he stood up, walking towards the kitchen.

I couldn't take it anymore and kicked open the door. The Black Wolf instantly stood in a fighting stance while Lucy came running to me and rubbed her head against my ankle. I picked her up and held her to my chest. "I'm so glad you're safe Lucy" I whispered to her and she purred as she rubbed her head against my chest.

"Look, I'm sorry for stealing Lucy but let me explain my side of the story" the Black Wolf said in a calm manner. "Why should I listen to you?!" I said then Lucy meowed. I looked down at her as she was looking up at me. Her eyes seemed to say 'let him explain' so I sighed. "Alright, but if I see you try anything I will punch you" I said and then the four of us sat in the cabin's lounge room. I sat Lucy comfortable on my lap and stroked her back.

The Black Wolf explained about his past, his father and why he steals from Mr Jewell. He also explained why he stole Lucy in the first place. I could tell from the look in his eyes that he was telling the truth. He told us his real name is Haru Nakamura. After hearing his backstory, I was angry at Mr Jewell. How could he do that to his friend, especially his childhood friend?! "You can't keep doing this forever. One day someone will catch you and you could spend the rest of your life in a jail cell. What would your Mother and Father think?" Rogue said.

Haru looked disappointed with himself. "I know what I'm doing is wrong but I want revenge on what he did to my family" he said, looking down at the floor. "Revenge can ruin your life, don't let it control you. You should be out there living your life" Sting said. "I want to move on but, how can I? I only steal enough for food and to give to others like me" Haru said. "Since we need to get rid of the thief and he wants to move on, we can give him our bonus reward. You can use it to live till you find a job and a home" I said. "You would be willing to do that?" Haru asked shocked. The three of us nodded in agreement, "thank you so much" Haru said emotionally. "Go live your life and don't be bound by the past" I said.

Later that day, we contacted Mr Jewell and told him we got rid of the Black Wolf. He returned from his vacation home and paid us. We each gave our 500,000 jewel bonus to Haru and said our goodbyes. Sting, Rogue and I decided to split the 1 million jewel reward money four ways. One for each of us including Lucy. Since it was late to catch the train, Sting and Rogue offered for me to stay at their place. I was extremely grateful, I get survive one more night from the guild's teasing.
