You walked with him through Rivendell, looking at the scenery. Even though you had lived here for all your life, you still couldn't get enough of its beauty. "Y/N, what did you do that for?" Your father's voice cut you out of your thoughts.
"Sorry?" You asked, even though you knew exactly what he was asking you of.
"Why did you punch him?"
"Father, he insulted me. He said I couldn't fight just because I am a girl!"
"That still doesn't give you the right to punch him Y/N, you have to apologise."
"I will do no such thing, for he himself didn't apologise to me."
"Y/N, he is our guest, you cannot do stuff like that to our guests."
"What, and he has the right to say stuff like that to me?" You shouted, tears in your eyes.
"Y/N calm down-"
"Don't tell me to calm down ada. I'm going to my room." You ran away from him, and you heard him sigh. In the hallways of Rivendell, you spotted Arwen, your sister, and tried to avoid her. She saw you though and hugged you tightly.
"What's wrong, muintheli? (Sister)" She whispered.
"Nothing." You said through tears. You hugged her back and cried into her shoulders. Even though you were younger than her by a few years, you were still a bit taller than her.
"Come, muintheli let's go to my room," Arwen said. You nodded in response and you and she walked to her room.
"What's wrong Y/N?" Arwen pestered. You sighed. It wasn't a hundred per cent Boromir's fault that you were like this. A few days ago, you were outside shooting arrows and an elf came up to you and said you were a girl, you shouldn't be shooting arrows. He then started laughing and told you to practice dancing and stuff like that. Then, when Boromir said that you were a girl and couldn't fight, you snapped.
You told Arwen the story and she was about to say something when a soft knock on the door interrupted.
"Come in," She said, and the door opened up to reveal Aragorn.
"Uh, sorry," He said awkwardly when he saw your face streaked with tears and Arwen hugging you tightly. "I'll come back another time." With that, he left.
"Sorry," You whispered to Arwen.
"It's fine, don't worry about it."
Another knock on the door interrupted your conversation again, and this time it didn't wait for a "Come in." Your father appeared at the door frame.
"Arwen, have you seen Y/N? I need to speak - oh." He said upon seeing you. "Y/N, what's wrong? Why did you run off like that?" Your father asked in a gentle voice.
"Nothing," You mumbled, feeling ashamed of you earlier action.
"It wasn't nothing Y/N," Arwen whispered to you. "I'm going to tell father what happened. He has to know." You sighed, knowing that there was no stopping her. Arwen stood up and walked over to father and started whispering to him. Your father's eyebrows rose higher and higher as Arwen talked, and when she was done talking, he walked over and embraced you in a tight hug.
"Oh Y/N, why didn't you tell me?"
"Because it was nothing." You paused, then added: "Honestly it's fine, I just overreacted a bit just now. Honestly, I'm fine."
Your ada smiled softly at you before saying: "Y/N, are you sure you want to join?"
"Join what?" Your sister's voice was no longer soft, and her eyes were boring into your head.
"Your sister is going to be part of a group consisting of hobbits, a dwarf, another elf, and a wizard, and two men to destroy the one ring. They're going to Mordor." Silence- then,
"No! Y/N you cannot go! I will not allow you to!" Arwen burst out.
"Sorry, but I am going Arwen, and no one can change that."
"I'm going to miss you so much, do you understand? You have to come back in the same condition as you are now."
You smiled softly at her, not promising anything.
"Who else is going? The two men, who are they?"
You didn't answer, knowing that she was thinking about Aragorn.
"It's Aragorn isn't it?" She sighed. "Why is everyone I love going on dangerous missions all the time?"
