The Conjuring // Prequel

Madeline POV

It was 3:00. They were all home and soon I heard a car come up. Soon came out a woman and she was pretty and soon a handsome guy. They knocked and Mom answered.

Hi, mom said. You must be Talya. I'm Lorraine and this is my brother Ed. She said. Hi, This is my husband Ryan. Mom said. I soon saw something behind them.

Who are these beautiful and handsome children. It felt cold. This is Madeline, our eldest child and oldest girl, Ethan, our oldest boy, Samantha and Marcus. Ed stared into my eyes. I smiled.

I heard something. Mom, I'll be right back I said. Madeline... Dad said.

Third POV

They walked somewhere where the other children can't hear. Is that your daughter who has the gift. Lorraine asked. Yes. Ryan said. She reminds me of how I was when I got my gift. Lorraine said. Madeline was staring outside of a window.

She was seeing a dark shadow behind her parents before she went upstairs. Madeline? Said Ed. She jumped. Madeline this is Ed and Lorraine Warren. Said Talya. Hi she said. Madeline can I talk to you about this gift that you have... Lorraine said. Okay...

Lorraine POV

I took her outside and we sat on the swing bench. Madeline how long have you had this gift? Since i was a kid. She said. You didn't tell your mom and Dad? I didn't want them to think I was insane or weird. Madeline you shouldn't be ashamed of it.

She looked up at me. Madeline I know how it feels because I have the same gift. She smiled at me. Your mom said you've been attacked before... I said. Yeah... at work and when I was sleeping or in my bedroom. What did you think of this house when you moved here? said Lorraine. I felt like something was coming for me. I got goosebumps. Samantha's been freaking me out a little. I said.

Why's that? she said. I saw her watching me one time, I saw her watching me one time, when we were playing hide and go seek one time... she didn't remember or say that we got her... I said. Okay... I'm gonna go talk to your parents, can you come? Sure i replied. We walked to the kitchen and talked. Is there anything else you have been hearing or seeing? Ed said.

There has been a three bangs. Dad said. Stopped at 12? said Ed. Yes. Why? mom said. That means its an insult to the father, son and holy spirit. Is it going after someone specific? said Ed. Mom and Dad looked at me. Um, it's going after me i guess since I'm a threat, but it's also going after Samantha, i think... I said.

Is there a place in this house that really scares you? Lorraine said. The Cellar... I said. Lorraine, Ed and I went downstairs and I showed them. I heard voices, Help me! Please! Help! She's coming... I looked at her and she understood why.

We went upstairs and I walked outside and went near the lake. It was cold a little to me. Something was coming or was here and I heard, Madeline? Are you okay. It was Ed and I heard something like someone stabbing someone with a stake. I turned and looked at the tree and saw a dead woman with a bloody stake in her heart.

I soon felt dizzy and was going to faint but Ed caught me and said, Are you okay!? He said. I had a bit of blood coming out of my nose and he grabbed a tissue he had and wiped it. I shook my head no and he walked me back to the house and we sat down in the kitchen with my mom and Dad.

Maddie, are you okay? Seeing me being helped by Ed and I shook my head no and he helped me sat down and Mom helped me sit down. Something awful happened here, Ed. Soon Ed set up to record things and said, All right. Lets get started. My name is Ed Warren. It's April 17th. I am sitting here with Talya Quinn, who with her family, has been experiencing
supernatural occurrences. We then started talking about things.

Lorraine POV

I recorded Samantha and started by saying, Madeline told me that you have a been acting different. I guess. Samantha said. Why is that? I asked. I just feel better at this place and she doesn't. She said and I said, have you ever fought? No, if we did, then I guess I don't remember. She said.

Madeline POV

We bought it at auction from the bank. So, you know, we never knew who have lived here. Dad said and Ed said, Well, Lorraine and I both feel, that what your house needs is a cleansing.
An exorcism. Dad said, What? Exorcism? I thought that was something that you do to people.

No, not necessarily. No. Lorraine said and Mom said., We have to get out of here. I'm afraid that's not going to help. I said and mom and Dad looked at me and Ed said, Madeline is right she must of saw what Lorraine saw.

I've been seeing the dark and its even haunt your house and your land. I saw it first when I
came through your door. It was latched to your back. And then I saw it again with the kids when we walked in the living room.  That's what you've been seeing a bit, right Madeline. I nodded. Mom, Dad, It doesn't matter where you go, this dark entity has latched itself to us. And its feeding off of us. I said.

Even if we... leave? Mom asked. Sometimes when you get haunted is like you stepping on gum. You take it with you. Ed said. I have to tell you you have a lot of spirit in here. But this is the one that I'm worried about because it is so hateful... to children. Lorraine said and Mom and Dad looked scared.

Is that why it's been attacking Madeline. Dad asked. No, it's because she's like me, a threat to them. Lorraine said. OK, so what do we do? Do we call a priest? Get Madeline out of the house? Dad asked. I wish it was that easy.
Performing an exorcism is archaic procedure.
Required years of training and... And even then, I have seen it go horribly wrong. But before we can get that far, the Church has to authorize it first. Means we got to investigate, gather evidence and provide proof. And that's the hard part. Ed said.

We walked outside and Ed said, Have your children been baptized? Yeah, we have. Mom said. Good, because our presence here could make things worst. Why? I asked. Because we are a threat. Whatever you're dealing with here, isn't gonna... like us. So we gonna have our guys do some homework on the property to see what we're up against. Ed said.

Lorraine got in their car and Mom and Dad went inside after saying bye. You going to be fine? Ed asked. I guess. I said. Don't worry we'll stop this. He said. We stared in each others eyes and I said, I'll see you soon. See you soon he said and I went back in.

Third POV

After Ed got in the car Lorraine said, you like her. Ed smirked and when Madeline went in her Mom said, you like him and Madeline smirked.
