Rye tends to find that inspiration strikes him at the most random of times, especially in the middle of the night, so he's taken to leaving a notebook and pen under his mattress right by his pillow so he can always write whatever it is down.

Lately however, he's been noticing that whenever he opens the book to write down his thoughts, there are already words on the once blank pages that he hasn't written himself. Even stranger is that the words are always something nice about him, so of course he starts to write back.

This back and forth goes on between himself and the anonymous band member for about two weeks, becoming flirtier and flirtier until he just can't keep it to himself anymore and he decides he needs to tell someone about it. The only problem is who to tell. He could tell Andy... but then if it turns out it wasn't him Rye would be heart broken.

You see, Rye's only slightly embarrassed to admit that he's had a crush on Andy since the band begun. The embarrassment of course doesn't come from the crush itself but the fact that he hasn't done anything about said crush. So obviously Andy was ruled out and Brooklyn happened to be the only person in the kitchen when Rye entered so Brook it is.

RYE'S POV:

Brooklyn is definitely my best option, mainly because he's the first person I've seen today and also because he isn't Andy. All boxes checked now I can just tell him. So I walk right up to him with the full intention of telling him the entire story, but when I get about two steps away from him I chicken out and turn back around to walk back to my room. However I can't just escape to my room because Brook grabs my arm and spins me back round to face him.

"What's up?" He asks, as if what I'm about to tell him isn't a big deal

"Nothing.." I reply casually, shrugging his hand off of my arm, but apparently my 'casual' isn't the same as Brook's because he gives me some kind of annoying sarcastic look of scepticism that seems to shout 'out with it mister' so I just shrug my shoulders at him. No way I'm just going to spill my guts to him because of one stupid look, who does he take me for?

"OK then" He replies and then he just walks away. He walked away! Can you believe that? I'm trying to tell him something important..

"I think I'm in love!" I shout quickly, trying to stop him from leaving so I can finally tell someone and clearly it works because he sits himself down on the sofa and pats the space next to him. I sit. After stalling for about 10 minutes by talking about biscuit Brooklyn promptly shuts me up and I finally tell him about the notebook and my increasingly flirty messages with the unknown boy.

As soon as I finish the story I can tell Brook really wants to ask a question about it so I motion for him to do so and I regret it as soon as he opens his mouth, but that normally happens with Brooklyn, you get annoyed as soon as he opens his mouth..

"Do you have a crush on any of the boys here?" Oh for gods sake, but as I go to reluctantly answer he continues "You don't have to tell me if you do or not but if you do I would suggest not trying to find out who it is, because in the end if it's not who you want it to be you'll just be disappointed" and then he stands up and walks away for real this time. Huh, that actually kind of made sense, weird coming from Brook but it still made sense.

3RD PERSON:

A couple of weeks passed and the messages between the two boys were still being exchanged but no further discussion about them had arisen. Rye was no closer to finding out who he was talking to than he was when it first began but he was only growing more impatient. Finally he decided it was time to find out, so he pulled out his notebook and wrote out a message (with multiple drafts might I add). It read:

Hi, seeing as we've been writing these messages to each other for about a month now I think it's about time I finally find out who you are. Meet me in the cinema at midnight?

And once he'd received a confirmation in the form of an 'ok', Rye nervously waited for midnight to arrive.

Eager as anything, Rye made his way down the stairs towards the cinema ten minutes earlier than expected and decided that waiting inside wouldn't hurt but when he entered he realised that the boy was already inside waiting for him.

ANDY'S POV:

At the sound of the cinema door opening I paused my film and turned to see Rye standing still in the doorway. "You alright mate?" I asked, slightly concerned as he hadn't moved since first stepping into the room. My words seemed to remind him what he was here for as suddenly he was walking with determination towards me and the next thing I knew his lips were pressed firmly against mine.

RYE'S POV:

As I pulled away from finally kissing Andy I heard a cough in the doorway and if Andy's look of confusion was anything to go by I could tell that he was only in here to watch a film and that the boy now entering the room was the actual person writing me the messages. I let out an extremely awkward laugh (It definitely was not a giggle, I'm a grown man for gods sake) and sent Andy an apologetic smile before walking towards the other boy.

"Are you disappointed?" He asked me with trembling lip

In reply, I placed my hands firmly on the backs of his thighs and scooped him off the floor into my arms, he instinctively wrapped his legs around my waste and arms around my neck before I kissed him once on the lips and whispered into his ear,

"Not at all Brooky, Not at all"
