The Grand Council was silent, and that seemed odd to Isabel since it was difficult for each of their personalities not to have fallen into an argument.

- "Let's see" - Elena took the floor, after the monologue of Corona's Captain of the guard. - "So, Varian lied to us and wasn't from Arendelle."

- "That was expected" - interrupted Esteban. - "For this, I sent a letter to Arendelle to make sure."

- "And Arendelle informed Corona" - informed the guard.

- "Everything making sense" - said Elena. - "Yes, it makes sense. A lot of sense..."

- "Anyway" - sighed the guard. - "We can take Varian tomorrow morning, and your kingdom will not suffer more damage."

Isabel's heart skipped a beat. What would they take it?

- "Eh... yes, I agree" - Elena nodded.

- "Even so, know that you always have the support of Avalor" - added Luisa.

- "Eh... yes!" - Isabel exclaimed, and everyone looked at her. - "This... as my grandmother has said, Corona will always have the support of Avalor and therefore, I, an avalorian of heart would like to say a few words on behalf of Varian, of Corona... since I have been the closest person to Varian these last three days..." - As nobody said anything, Isabel sighed and continued. - Varian has had difficulties, maybe if we helped him, he could come to his senses."

The guard burst out laughing.

- "You don't know Varian, right?" - He asked.

- "I..."

- "Who is in favor of Varian going to Corona tomorrow?" - Elena asked.

- "Abuelo, please don't raise your hand, will you?" - Isabel said, looking at him sadly.

- "Isabel, it was very brave of you to defend him like that, my dear, but how do you intend to help him?" - her Abuelo asked. - "You can't change the whole world."

And immediately he raised his hand.

- "Abuela?" - Isabel despaired. - "You always want to look for the bright side of things, and you know more than anyone that people also have that side."

- "You're right, Isabel, but I'm not going to let him stay here, without realizing, he's hurting you" - her grandmother excused herself, raising her hand too.

- "Naomi, please" - Isabella pleaded. - "You know Varian needs help."

- "I... I'm sorry, Isabel" - Naomi raised a trembling hand.

- "Primo..."

He raised his hand without question.

- "Elena..." - Isabel knew that although her sister voted the opposite to the rest of the council, they would lose equally, but even so she wanted someone to understand her and that was always her sister; however, like the others, she raised her hand.

Corona's guard clapped his hands.

- It's done, we'll leave tomorrow at sunrise" - he said, got up and left from there.

Isabel closed her eyes and tears welled up, making her whole family approach her.

- "Isabel" - Elena said, hugging her. - "What's wrong?"

Isabel corresponded to her sister's embrace, and while she wiped her tears, she sobbed:

- "Why did I think I could change Varian's mind?"

Her grandparents prepared to answer, but Isabel kept talking.

- Why did I think I could do something big? Change the way of thinking to a boy who is very lost on the road? Why did I think I could guide him? Why am I so stupid? So much that I can believe that I can solve everything easily as if it were a simple exercise in physics."

- "Because you believed in yourself" - Elena answered.

- "And should I still believe myself?" - Isabel asked.

- "Follow your instincts" - Elena replied, crouching down to her younger sister. - "It always works."

- "Well" - Esteban crouched down too. - "That is not entirely true. - He lowered his voice so that only Isabel could hear him. - "Elena always gets into trouble doing that."

Isabel couldn't help but giggle, and Esteban smiled with satisfaction as he made his cousin laugh in a moment of sadness for her.

- "I'm going to say goodbye to Varian" - she announced.

And she left the room before someone could tell her something else.
