He struggled to get up but he was hit again by the huge creature's fire whip, which pushed him backward.

Efreet: " don't you think it's time to give up, there is no possibility that you will win against me little kid."

Arata: " shut up!"

He stood up but he was trembling.

Arata: " you don't know anything, I can't lose to you..."

He formed a huge fire ball and threw it at the guardian who stopped it easily with his hand.

Arata kneeled down as he felt the pain of his injuries running inside his body. He leaned on Helios and tried standing up again.

Arata: " my friends are now fighting, and I should get you to help us. They're depending on me, I can't let them down!"

Efreet narrowed his eyes at the red haired boy.

Efreet: " you don't know when to give up don't you?"

Arata: " is it a problem to you?"

He said holding up the fire sword and pointing it at the fire creature.

Efreet: " the test is over."

Arata: " what! I didn't lose to you yet!"

Efreet: " there is no need to continue fighting, I've confirmed that you have the soul of the god of fire."

Arata blinked in surprise.

Arata: " what do you mean?"

Efreet: " you don't know when to give up, just like him, just like fire. It's the thing that makes you strong, but it's also your weakness."

Arata looked up at him with confuse.

He said drawing out his sword. Ban nodded and did the same.

The first one to show up was Itan who jumped on Lex, moving his scythe down on him. But the older man quickly stopped him.

Itan merely smirked.

Itan: " ho, not half bad."

Lex: " you didn't see anything yet."

He quickly pushed him back.

Ban was about to go and help him when a certain giant sword stopped him.

Kousuke: " as much as I want to settle things with that Itan, I should first get rid of you."

He brought the sword down but Ban stopped him.

Kousuke: " that can't be, there should be nothing that I can't cut through!!!"

Ban: " then you're wrong!"

He kicked him and pushed him back.

Ban: " Kamiya Kousuke, right. I will give you a chance to stop and surround."

Kousuke bursted in laughs.

Kousuke: " you will what... You think that you can stop a soul eater?"
