"Yeah I just wanted you two to meet. Luna, stay here. Pierce, we need to talk," Clark said. They left and appeared a bit later. Pierce said a goodbye to me before Clark sat next to me.
"Can we talk?"
"Of course," I responded.
"So, I talked to Pierce about it and he's pretty cool. So, um... dang, what I was wondering was if uh...shoot," he said, a hand anxiously running through his hair. He exhaled. "Since you're moving to the US, I was wondering if you would like to maybe come visit me in Brooklyn because I have to move back and also if we moved our relationship ahead if you. If you wanted to and our relationship continued growing, maybe you could move in?"
I looked at Clark, a wreck of a man trying to get his words right. And I understood it from the beginning. "I would love to visit you," I said.
"What about the other bit?"
"If we feel that our relationship has reached that level and Darren isn't such a helicopter brother, I'll gladly join you," I said.
"Okay," Clark said, taking my non-dominant hand in his non-dominant one. I fingered the chains around my neck and we sat in silence. And it wasn't a bad silence. It was just the two of us in our own world. That is, until both of our phones started ringing. I picked up to my cousin.
"Luna, you have to come back it's serious, but everyone's okay," Robert said.
"Okay. What's up?" I asked him, getting everything together and hugging Clark goodbye.
"I'm not sure, but get over here. Where are you?"
"I'm at the theater," I explained, confused.
"That's going to take forever. DARREN SHE'S AT THE THEATER!" Robert yelled. I heard an indistinct conversation in the background. "Wait right there."
"Okay," I said, hanging up. Clark appeared next to me.
"I'm worried. Dylan called me and told me to get over to Brian and Mere's," he said.
"Same thing from my cousin. And—yep— Darren's here. Does he have a speeding ticket?" I wondered.
"I don't know, but we're headed to the same place," Clark said as we got into the back.
"DareBear, be careful. Obey the speed limit," I said.
"Just for you," Darren replied.
"Um, hey, Darren. So, your sister and I are dating and I wondered if after she got settled if she could come and visit me in Brooklyn," Clark said, taking advantage of my brother's occupied mind. Darren slammed on the brakes at a red light.
"Excuse me, you what?" Darren asked. I gripped Clark's hand in fear. Darren had never scared me so much in my five months of knowing him.
"I haven't done anything and you gave your consent so don't be so mad about it," Clark said.
"You two are—geez!" Darren exclaimed, starting to drive again.
"We're not!" I exclaimed.
"We're just in a romantic commitment," Clark explained calmly. We arrived at Brian and Meredith's house before Darren could go crazy again. After bursting through the door, there was a major plot twist.
"Brian bought almost half of the ice cream at the grocery store and now everyone wants some of it, but there's a major fight over the mint chocolate chip since there's only one left," Robert panted.
"That's the major reason Darren actually put himself in danger of a speeding ticket?" I asked.
"Yeah."
"I would probably be more annoyed if it weren't Rachael and Jeff kissing after each punch," I giggled, my annoyance gone.
"Good," Robert laughed.
"Jeff, will you just..please?" Rachael asked through giggles.
"Only if you say what you said that night you were drunk," Jeff said, laughing at his sorta-kinda-maybe-actual girlfriend.
"No! Never!" Rachael exclaimed to her sorta-kinda-maybe-actual boyfriend/ occasional nemesis.
"Then you'll never get this!" Jeff exclaimed, taking the ice cream carton before Rachael punched him in the arm. "Ow, Rach!"
"Jeff Blim, you give me the ice cream, or so help me," Rachael muttered as they were face-to-face when Jeff kissed her. She relaxed as their eyes both shut. Jaime gave a mischievous grin before reaching in the direction of the container and got it from Jeff without him noticing. Kissing must have been a drug for him. Jaime giggled gleefully and skipped off before anyone could figure anything out.
"Stop kissing!" Joey yelled at last.
"Okay, you can't say that. You and Lo have been kissing at any possible moment since forever," Jade said.
"It's sickening," Eric agreed.
"Say you two," Lauren argued.
"Amen to that!" Joey exclaimed.
"Okay, everyone just stop making out and blaming each other!" Meredith said, silencing everyone. She composed herself. "Jaime left with the ice cream in a very clever way. Dylan is guarding her and will draw blood if you try to steal it. Rachael, Jeff, we know both of you are in love and dating, so you can stop pretending. Lo, Joey, stop arguing and maybe make out somewhere else. Jade, Eric, you two are adorable like Ron and Lavender except it might work out so just stop hiding it you two have been dating since forever. DareBear, Juls, you two are married, so you don't have to stay separate we couldn't care less. Alex, Robert, yes I know don't deny it you don't even try to hide the amount you guys text and also there's a red heart in your contact names for each other. You can kiss in front of sober us because we don't care. Traci, Walker, keep doing you it's adorable. Luna, Clark, my gosh keep being adorable and try to adapt to the height difference because occasional standing on chairs doesn't work!"
There was ear-shattering silence. "Damn, Mere! This is why I married you," Brian finally said, wrapping his arms around her stomach and kissing the back of her neck. They made eye contact.
"I'm sure," Meredith assured Brian quietly.
"So, we have an announcement," Brian said. He and Meredith counted to three together.
"There's going to be a baby with Brian's genes!" Meredith exclaimed.
"Mere's pregnant!" Brian yelled at the same time.
"Brian, I mean this in the least offensive way possible, but I don't know if a little toddler with your genes running around is something good or something to celebrate," Lauren said.
"Yeah, but it has Mere's genes so it balances out," Brian said.
"Wow.. um congrats you two nerds," Darren said. We all managed to say similar things before chatter erupted in the room.
"Wait, was that why..?" I asked Meredith.
"I was sick that day? Yeah. It's that and I also had migraines," Meredith said.
"How did you hide during the show?" I asked her.
"It's only very recent and my baby bump isn't that noticeable. I used misdirection because of my two-piece costume," she said, "That headpiece worked wonders along with sequins."
"How far?"
"Three months."
"Well, wow. Congrats, Mere," I said.
Disclaimer: I only own Luna and the plot line.
I will be the first to say this chapter was a train wreck. Not gonna lie, I don't remember what I was thinking, except I knew that this was close to the end and I had to get some things mentioned. Said things being Sogblim because I need more Sogblim fics in my life. Well, there are two more chapters and a potential sequel that is like this chapter, so we'll see if I put it up. I have winter ball on Saturday, so I'm excited. That's that, so have a great time 'till I see you next!!!
