I had an awful day.
My dad woke up drunk.
He usually drank at night but now I guess it wasn't enough for him.
That only made things worse for me.
I rubbed my arm as I made my way back from the station, soaking in the rain.
I could take the bus...but then I won't have enough money for a meal.
A tear slid down my cheek as I grew frustrated.
Why do I even have to make such a choice?
I tried to blink away the tears so that people wouldn't notice I was crying.
As I looked up, I saw Taehyung.
He's smiling.
It was enough to lift my mood a little.
He stopped in front of me and tilted his head.
"Do you have a band-aid?"
Oh no, is he okay?
I nodded my head and started to take off my backpack, but he stopped me.
Confused, I looked at him.
He leaned in close, trying not to laugh.
"Because I scraped my knee falling for you."
With a small giggle, he brushed past me.
Smiling, I turned back to look at him.
He gave me a wide smile in return.
Today wasn't so bad after all.
