The Town Square

"You 'flipped the switch' I've been told." A man remarked, sitting next to the girl on the bench.

The girl, Poppy, wore black leather pants, a floral tshirt, and flats. Her hair had been cut to a little below her shoulders, and it wasn't as curly. She watched a yoga class go on in the grass through her sunglasses.

"Is that why you came all this way from New Orleans, Klaus?" Poppy asked in reply, smirking when one of the yoga participants fell over, clearly unbalanced.

Her dad looked at her. "Yes, it is. And I'm 'Dad' to you."

"Okay, Dad." She rolled her eyes. "I'm assuming you're going to try to turn my humanity back on."

"Yes."

"Cool. Might as well sight see instead because whatever you're going to do won't work." His daughter said, standing up and walking along the small sidewalk.

Klaus stood up, walking after her. "Poppy, this is nonsense. Just turn it back on."

Poppy spun around and held up her hand, and her dad fell to his knees, gasping in pain. She lowered her hand and shrugged. "Oh, did they not tell you what happens when you try to turn my humanity back on?" She asked, faking concern. "Make a move and, well, " she shrugged "who knows what I'll do."

The hybrid watched as his daughter turned and walked away, looking upset and bitter.

The Salvatore Boarding Home

In the Boarding Home, the fire place was going in the foyer, bringing warmth. Stefan, Damon, and Klaus all stood around, thinking of a plan to get Poppy's humanity back on. The Original wasn't too pleased for the headache he had gotten, and normally he would've killed the witch who had done it to him, but Poppy was his daughter. He didn't want to hurt her.

"Yeah..." Damon looked at Klaus, who didn't seem very happy. "No one has been able to get their hands on her. She doesn't even sleep."

Klaus rubbed his eyes. "Well please do share your plan." He lowered his hand. "You have a plan, right?"

Stefan shrugged. "We've tried everything we've come up with. Can't even get within reaching distance. We've been thinking though, and it's not much of a plan, but we do have a 'weapon'."

Poppy's dad raised an eyebrow.

"Me." Silas said, walking into the foyer. "She won't even look at me."

"We think he's the key to getting her humanity back on."

"You're staining the carpet!" Damon exclaimed, walking down the stairs in his pajamas. On the floor were heads, and bodies.

Poppy walked into the hall and rolled her eyes, wiping blood away from the corner of her lip. "Oh, Uncle Damon, I'm so sorry. Just kidding! I don't care." She turned and walked to the foyer, where her jacket was. She put it on and began to walk to the door.

"Whoa, where are you going?" Damon asked, stopping her.

"I'm going into town."

"Take Silas with you." Damon told her, following her to the door.
