Chillin with the Avengers (One Shot Collection)

This comes from a request by SilverSky1 : Can you do a one shot where Peter is sleep deprived and interrupts The Avengers attempts to lift Mjolnir to get his homework out from underneath, or something like that?

I liked this so I am going to interpret this,my own way, hope it still works! Warning, this will be shorter than a lot of my works, but I'll try!

Patrol had been extensive the past few nights for the Avengers. They had been out until at least 1 every morning and didn't make it back to the Tower until around 2. Those who didn't have school, or everyone except Peter, caught up on sleep for the rest of the day. But Peter? Peter had normal hours of school every day.

Peter had a rough time sleeping after patrol nights. The adrenaline from the night kept him awake for hours, letting him only get about two hours every night.

Peter got in the car and Happy drove him to school at 7. He got home at 4. He slept from 4 to 10 pm and then he woke up. He dragged his half asleep body to the living room where the Towe4 night life was taking place.

"Hey Pete!" Clint said from the couch. The rest of the Avengers were on couches all around the coffee table. 

"What are you guys doing?" Peter said, half moaning, half sighing.

"Tony?" Clint redirected the question.

"Well, you see, Pete," Tony explained "I did some good deeds today and I wanted to know if that made me worthy."

Thor chuckled "I'm afraid a few good deeds will not make you worthy, Man of Iron," 

"Can it, Shakespeare," Tony snapped.

"Mjolnir lies in front of you," Thor said, motioning to the coffee table. Peter leaned in closer and saw Thor's hammer.

Tony stood up and everyone clapped. He braces himself and pulled as hard as he could. The hammer didn't move at all. 

Peter looked at the base of the hammer and there he saw it. The worksheet he had for Advanced Calculus. The incomplete one due tomorrow.

Peter cursed under his breath. Another thing to do before school tomorrow. As Rhodey began to try his luck at the hammer, Peter walked over. He didn't want to participate, he really just wanted to grab his homework and go back to sleep.

Rhodey let go of the hammer and walked away. Peterwalked over and began to tug at the paper under the hammer but it wouldn't budge. Completely forgetting the characteristics of Mjolnir, he grabbed the handle and it shuddered, lifting about an inch. Peter was quick to grab his homework and run away.

The rest of the Avengers watched, gawking, as Peter walked away.

"Hold up, kid," Steve said " You can't just-and then- and then, leave?"

"Listen, I'm tired," Peter announced.

"But-" 

"Aww, Steve, let the kid get some sleep!" Tony said.

"Tony, he-"

"G'night everyone!" Peter said as he walked away, homework in hand.

I'm not sure I did the request justice, but this feels like a fairly decent one shot!
