rich's pov

"Hey wait, tell Jere to cancel it," Rich told Michael.

"Why's that?" Michael asked, confused.

"I kinda just wanna hang out instead. Why have a party when it's easier to just hang out?" Rich pointed out.

"Mm sure makes sense," Michael muttered.

Rich waited for a second as Michael typed. He didn't really want to go to a party that week. It would just make him feel worse to see all the other people hooking up when he was still alone.

"Alright, texted Jake and Jere," Michael said, breaking Rich's train of thought.

"Cool, thanks. Wanna get back to playing Mario Kart?" Rich suggested.

"Let's go."

"Sup disasters!" Jake yelled from the top of the basement stairs, grinning at Rich and Michael on their beanbags.

"Wow, rude," Michael joked, sticking his middle finger up at Jake.

Rich stuck his tongue out at Jake, noticing Jeremy behind him. "Get down here, losers!" He laughed, leaning back onto the beanbag.

The other two boys came down the stairs and grabbed their beanbag, Jake flopping down first. Jeremy sat on his lap and cuddled close to him.

"So what're we doin'?" Jeremy asked.

"Apocalypse of the Damned?" Michael suggested, gesturing to his Xbox.

"Level nine?" Jeremy asked, smiling.

"Let's go dorks, just get the game up!" Rich interrupted them, laughing with Jake.

They four of them started playing the game after Michael finally set it up. They played for a few hours before getting bored. In the middle of the game, Michael's moms came down to tell the boys to not stay up too late.

"This game is impossible," Jeremy growled, dropping his controller as he lost his final life. "Can we do something else?" He groaned.

"If you guys want, I still got some weed down here," Michael suggested, putting his controller down as well.

Rich smiled. He loved it when they got high; they weren't addicted or anything, it was a special occasion type of high. "Yeah, sure." He and Jake were the last two alive in the game, for all of two more seconds. Level nine was impossible to beat.

"Alright, lemme just-" Michael cut himself off and leaned forward to move a few comic books out of the way of his bong and weed stash.

Rich watched as Michael did whatever he had to do to fill the bong and stuff. He never understood how to do it. He didn't pay attention until Michael tapped his shoulder to give him the bong.

"You good?" Michael asked.

Rich nodded and did his thing before passing it over to Jake. He laid back and closed his eyes. After a few minutes and more passes of the bong, it had run out and all four teens were high.

"Hey, let'th play truth or dare," Rich suggested, sitting up to the best of his ability.

"Hell yeahhh!" Jeremy giggled, cuddling up to Jake.

"I'll go first," Jake suggested, sitting up. Jeremy clinged to him more and squealed. "Michael, truth or dare?"

"Mnng... dare," Michael muttered, looking up at Jake.

"Buy me a pizza," Jake chuckled, smirking.

"Every single time," Michael groaned, grabbing his phone.

Rich waited quietly as Michael called the pizza place. A few minutes later, the game continued.

After a while of playing, Rich was spacing out and ignoring the others. They got quiet suddenly before he woke back up as he heard his name.

"Wha...?" He mumbled, looking at Jake and Jeremy as they started giggling. "The fuck did I mith?" He asked, looking confused. He jumped slightly as Jake and Jeremy broke out in loud laughter.

Rich looked over at Michael, seeing how bad he looked. "Dude, you okay?" He asked, getting up onto his knees. He shuffled over to Michael, concerned.

"They asked me a question and I answered and now I'm scared," Michael answered through his hands.

Rich frowned and sat back on his heels. "What was the question?" He asked, tilting his head.

"I don't wanna talk about it," Michael grumbled rubbing his face. He flopped back onto the beanbag and groaned. "Can we just get them out of here? Maybe have them throw a party or something?" He suggested, looking up and taking his glasses off.

"Dude, it'th like ten o'clock. Pluth, nobody would know about it," Rich explained. He sighed as he saw Michael roll over and groan.

"I just wanna be alone right now," Michael told him.

Rich sighed an nodded and stood up. "Guyth, we gotta go," he muttered, glancing back at Michael. He looked back to see Jake holding Jeremy and starting towards the stairs. He followed them and let them go first.

"Bye Michael," Jake said, continuing up.

"Hey, if you ever wanna talk, just give me a call, okay?" Rich offered, smiling at him.

Michael sat up, returning the smile. "A-actually, could you stay for a second?" He asked.

Rich glanced up to see that Jake had disappeared. "Yeah, sure, what'd you need?" He asked, nodding as he walked down and plopped back onto the beanbag.

"God, this is going to be so hard," Michael mumbled. Rich knew he wasn't supposed to hear it, so it spiked his curiosity into what was about to happen.

Michael took a deep breath before speaking. "Okay, so, earlier when you were spacing out, Jeremy asked me the normal truth or dare. I was too lazy to do any dare so, like an idiot, say truth," he started explaining quickly. "So he asked me something like, 'Do you have a crush and who is it?'" Michael paused for a moment.

Rich realized where this was going, and his eyes widened as he blushed. "A-and you thaid me," he whispered, letting his lisp slip back out.

Michael's face flushed darker red before he started to ramble. "I-I completely understand if you don't feel the same way! We can just stay as friends and forget about this whole night and-"

Rich got tired of listening to him ramble- respectfully tired, he was still a good friend- so he gently grabbed Michael's cheeks and kissed him.

Michael let out a small squeak before kissing back, practically melting.

Rich decided to snake his hands down and wrap his arms around Michael's waist to pull him closer. He felt Michael ring his arms around Rich's neck.

"Holy shit!"
