She dabbed his bruises lightly with a cotton ball and an ointment but he moved away once it hurt too much, as a natural reaction.
"Quite movin' or I won't finish."
"Sorry... It just hurts.... those guys gave me a good beating..."
They stayed silent the next moment, considering they barely knew each other anyway.
"Why did you help me?"
Seventeen stared at the boy. He was confident enough to actually question her.
"I used to do this for my brother..." she replied.
"Does that mean I know him?" Zero's curiosity was just like a child's.
"Do you usually ask this many questions?" Seventeen smiled, amused.
"Sometimes...." he replied.
"I'll answer your question some other time.... I'll get you clothes."
Seventeen stood up, cleaned the mess and walked to her closet.
"Here" she said aloud, and threw her spare clothes towards the bed where Zero still sat.
"Thanks, Jae Eun." He said softly.
"No biggy kid.."
"Please tell me how much older you are from me so I'd know if I have to call you noona."
"....How old are ya?"
"I'm 21. I'll be 22 soon."
".....What month were you born?"
"September....? Why are you asking that??"
"Yep. I'm older." She sighed and chuckled.
"Huh?" Zero was obviously confused after being bombarded with questions.
"I'm 22...... But only because I was born in March."
Zero finally nodded and understood that Jae Eun was born on March in the same year as him; making her only a few months older.
"Should I call you noona?" He suddenly lowered his head, all shy.
"Nah. I'm not female in character anyway."
"Well... I guess so..." Zero nervously laughed.
"Besides, I wanna be good friends with you. So no need for the shitty formality."
"Yeah okay. Thanks again for lending me these..."
With that said, Seventeen walked out of the room to let Zero change.
