I laid in between John's arms, half asleep, my eyelids sliding shut ever 5 seconds only to be forced open again. I could only wait for everyone to fall asleep. Which was impossible because I know for a fact that Alexander doesn't sleep.

Hercules and John were out like a nightlight. Alexander, on the other hand, was hovering a metal coaster with a candle in it above his work, trying to read a letter. And now that his trust in my degraded by at least 500 %, he's glancing at me every second. The candle he was holding was slowly burning out and when it did burn out, the flame disappeared into the cold night air. I narrowed my eyes. "F*ck," I heard Alexander yawn before I heard the metal coaster fall down onto the grass.

Alexander collapsed next to the holder and fell asleep. His loud snoring was the only reason why I could believe that he wasn't dead. I tilted John's arm off of me and slowly got out of bed. I felt my shirt pull me back. I looked back and saw John's hand attached to it. I panicked but held his arm and got down on my knees beside the bed.

"Where are you going?" He asked softly, keeping his eyes closed. "I just need to do something, I'll be back before you know," I reassured him with a whisper and tucked his loose hair behind his ear. He hummed before sliding his hand out of mine and tucking it under his face. I smiled at how cute something so angry could look. I leaned in and pressed my lips on his. "I love you," I smiled as I parted and stepped away from the bed. "I love you more," He mumbled before yawning and turning around. I turned around, a big smile on my lips, and walked out of the tent.

As soon as I got out of the tent, my smile faded. "Battle plans, now or never. Washington is out of town," I hissed before marching towards Washington's tent.

~~The next morning~~

John's P.O.V

"John," I heard. I grumbled and turned on my other side before I was slapped across the face. "My f*cking gay lord, what do you want?" I hissed as I rose up, rubbing my eyes while I was doing so. "They're gone!" I heard as someone grabbed my shoulders and heavily shook them. "What's gone?" I asked, clueless about what was going on. I opened my eyes a bit more so I could make out who I was talking to.

Turns out it was Alexander. "The plans, Johnathon!" He yelled at me. "My name is not Johnathon, Alexander," I argued back. "You're missing the point. The battle plans of Yorktown are gone, John." Alexander hissed at me.

My eyes widened. "Wait," I begged for a moment. "No, get out there and help the search team," Alexander demanded as he threw my coat at me. I caught it with my face and fell backward. I looked at the dirty blue coat before getting yelled out of bed by Alexander.

Alexander wasn't allowed to do anything with the search team. The last time he went on a search, he found the person but beat him up until the person almost died. When I ran outside, I saw soldiers stand in a line. They had their hands on their heads and were all guarded by other bluecoats.

Hercules was in the line, hands on his head.  I ran up to him but was stopped by a bayonet.  "Get away from the accused soldiers, Laurens," The soldier said. Hercules looked up. "John, go with the search team. I'll be fine, I haven't done anything," Hercules reassured me. I sighed.

Hercules had early morning businesses. Every soldier in the line had early morning businesses. They were all out of their tent so all of them could've stolen the battle plans. I was in the tent the whole night.

I backed away and ran in the opposite direction. I ran to Washington's tent. He was gone. He was coming back this afternoon from a meeting with the other generals. But when I entered the tent, I saw Washington, hunched over his desk. "Sir," I said. Washington looked up, his dark eyes looking straight through my soul.

"Laurens, get back to the-" And the rest was zoned out. I looked around. Paper were scattered over the floor. Shelves were abandoned in the mud. Someone just tore open the shelves and took what they needed.

Then something dawned upon me.

Where the f*ck is Y/N?

I sprinted back to the tent, Washington yelling my name as I ran out. When I got back in our tent, Alexander shot his head up from the pile of paperwork. "Where is Y/N?" I asked, almost out of breath. "I thought she was with you," Alexander said. "B*tch, you woke me up," I wheezed.

"Dude you need to work out-"

"NOT THE TIME FOR DISCUSSING HEALTH, DOCTOR HAMILTON,"

Alexander thought for a second and when it hit him, he gritted his teeth. "Stupid!" He yelled as he repeatedly hit himself on the head. "Alexander?" I frowned. "Hercules is this close to being executed for theft," He whined. "And it's all my fault," He awed.

"The f*ck are you blabbering about?" I asked, cocking my eyebrow.

Y/N's P.O.V

"Here," I sighed as I tossed the rolled up documents to the British general. I squeezed my arm and looked away. In the middle of the forest, thick air roamed around making it even harder for me to breath. I was sad, I felt guilty. All I needed was fresh air, but that couldn't be gifted to me.

The general took a look at the plans. Slowly, a grin began to form. "They've got nothing. The plan is tomorrow and they don't have time to warn everybody for the danger that is about to hit them," He chuckled. He glanced back at me. A tear rolled down my cheek. "What? You've got friends there?" He laughed. The soldiers chuckled along.

"Well, they will never take you back now. I would suggest that you grab the fastest ship to Britain and start over," He adviced still grinning. "But let's keep that a dream,"

I looked up. The 5 soldiers that tagged along had their bayonets pointed at me. I couldn't say that I didn't expect it. I sighed and put my hands up. One of the soldiers grabbed my hands and tied them up. "Now you are going to serve as bait to kill every one of those Americans," The general informed me. I frowned as I began to struggle against the restraints.

"One of our spies informed you have a little crush there, he's going to come after you. To kill you or to win you back, it's unsure," The general shrugged as we began walking towards the camp.

I could only bow my head down in shame.

John, please don't come after me.
