She shook her head. "No, I can't let you do that." She stood in front of the basement door. "It's not safe. She needs to stay down there."

Matt shook his head in disbelief. "I knew we couldn't trust you." Quickly, he raised his gun and shot it. 

"Matt, no!" Bonnie exclaimed, and Poppy looked down at the dart in her shoulder. 

She began to feel dizzy, and her blood felt like it was on fire. Wolfsbane. 

"What the hell is your problem?" The witch stood between Poppy and Matt. "She's pregnant!" 

Poppy closed her eyes, collapsing to the floor. 

Mystic Falls, Virginia 

The Wedding Venue

Damon and Elena walked down the aisle, and the vampire took his place beside Alaric. 

"And so?" Alaric whispered. 

"Looks like I'm joining the human club! It's a big night for both of us."

The groom smiled. "I'm proud of you."

"You, too, buddy." Damon furrowed his eyebrows when he saw his niece basically jog down the aisle in heels to her spot as a bridesmaid. He gave her a look, and she shook her head saying 'not right now'. He frowned when he saw a bandage on her shoulder, mostly hidden by her hair. 

Everyone stood up when Jo began to walk down the aisle, escorted by her father. She took her place with Alaric, the two smiling. 

"Welcome, family and friends, on this magical evening to the wedding of Alaric Saltzman and Josette Loughlin. Josette and Alaric have prepared their own vows." The reverend spoke. 

Alaric cleared his throat. "Neither one of us should be here right now. We've spend our life dodging fate and beating the odds." 

"Where were you?" Elena asked, her voice a whisper. 

Poppy stayed looking at the bride and groom. "Matt shot me with wolfsbane." 

"Oh my god, are you okay?" 

"I'm fine. The baby is fine." 

"But, because we did, I got to meet you, the most beautiful, hilarious and intimidatingly brilliant woman I have ever known." Alaric continued. "You inspire me, you've shown me that happiness is actually something that I can have in my life. And so..." He took the ring from Tyler. "I promise to be with you, and love you, and to dodge fate with you" he slid the ring onto Jo's fined, and she began to cry "for the rest of our lives.."

"Josette?" 

Jo let out a laugh. "Oh god, that's a tough act to follow." The crowd laughed, and she continued. "Here it goes. Alaric Saltzman, you are-" she let out a loud gasp, and her face had an expression of pain. 

"Jo? Jo? Jo? Oh my god. Jo? Jo? Jo?" Alaric began to panic when blood began to show and spread across the front of the wedding dress. She began to sway, dizzy. "Jo? Oh god, no!"

The bride cried out in pain and fell into his arms, and Alaric fell onto his knees, holding her. When she fell, she revealed that Kai, her twin, had appeared behind her, holding a bloodied knife. 

Poppy backed up, now beside Elena. "Oh my god," she immediately placed a hand on her abdomen. 

"I was gonna wait 'til the 'death do us apart' bit, but it seemed a little on the nose. Am I right?" Kai asked, and he held up his hand when his father ran at him. 

Everyone began to scream in pain when a high pitched noise rang in their heads. Poppy brought her hands to her head, the pain almost unbearable. She cried out and closed her eyes.
