Your POV
I lazily opened my eyes and looked to the side where the window was. The curtains were closed but I could make out the sunlight outside, trying to get in. I grinned and sprung out of bed. I wonder what time it is? I shook my head and pulled the curtains open wide and the weather outside looked nice today. I smiled and ran out of the room in search of the android sent by Cyberlife. I scampered into the living room but he was nowhere to be seen. I pouted and jumped around the corner to the kitchen. Not there either. Then I heard distant talking from Hank's room. I walked over to it quietly and stood in the door frame, watching what was going on.
"Good morning, lieutenant. I'm here to remind you that work at the police department starts in 40 minutes". Connor greeted formally as he swung the curtains wide open, probably blinding Mr Anderson who looked half like a zombie in bed. He grumbled and pulled the cover over his eyes. "Ah, what the fuck is wrong with you!? I'm up, I'm up!".
Connor backed away apologetically and turned to face me instead. "Ah, good morning (Y/n). Glad to see you're awake. We should be heading over to the DPD soon, as soon as Hank is ready of course".
I nodded and left the room to wait for them. Connor followed after me and waited patiently by the door while Hank begrudgingly went from place to place looking for some kind of jacket to wear. When he finally found one, we got in the car and began the drive to the police department.
(Time skip)
We walked inside and Hank dropped some files on his desk then headed towards some kind of room. I think it had something to do with evidence. He entered the room and Connor followed after him, but Hank was quick to stop him. "Whoa whoa whoa, no androids allowed! Be a good little robot and stay out of trouble. I won't be long". He shooed him away from the door grumpily then disappeared into the room, locking the door behind him. I think we both heard faint mumbling and cursed words behind the door until they faded away completely. Connor stood there surprised and his L.E.D. turned yellow for a second. Then a familiar voice called from a table behind us.
"Fuck, look at that...." We both turned our heads.
As soon as I saw Gavin, I hid behind Connors leg and gripped the bottom of his blazer, making it obvious I was scared. What does he want?
"Our friend the plastic detective is back in town!" He sniggered to the woman sitting next to him. I don't understand why he's so mean to Connor, and Connor just stands there and takes it. "Congratulations on last night, very impressive!" He started clapping sarcastically.
Connor turned around fully and greeted him like a friend. "Hello, Detective Reed".
Gavin stood up and tapped the table a few times before waltzing over to us slowly, like he thought he was better than us. "Never seen an android like you before..." He said as he looked Connor up and down. I don't think he realised I was stood there terrified. "What model are you?".
"RK800. I'm a prototype".
"A prototype?" Gavin questioned. It was clear he was making fun of Connor's confidence. But the android didn't seem fazed by the insult. He gestured to the woman. "Android detective", referring to Connor. Was he trying to impress her with his nasty remarks? That's a stupid way to get someone to like you.
"So machines are gonna replace us all...Is that it?" He asked disgustedly. He didn't give Connor time to answer before he gave him an order with a crooked smile.
"Hey, bring me a coffee dipshit!"
I can't let Connor take this. I tugged on his suit gently and whispered "Connor, let's just go. You don't have t-" "I wasn't talkin' to you, runt!" He pointed an angry finger at me which made me back away further, whimpering.
