"Ooh, you brought food," I said, opening the door for Tia.

"Yup, I figured we could have brunch and have our little chit chat session. I'm excited for this one since it's actually you with some excitement going on instead of me talking about my randomness."

"Girl, I have a lot to update you on."

"Oh shit, what?" she asked while putting her purse on the couch then followed me into the kitchen. "That happy ass grin ain't giving me, but so much."

"So let me tell you. Remember Nate?" I asked and she nodded as she opened her container of food.

"The one night stand," she said before taking a bite of her eggs.

"Well..." I dragged out.

"Ooh, spill. Was it more than one night?" Tia asked with big eyes, making me laugh.

"I didn't say that, but okay let me start with the awkward run in we had a week after our night together."

"Oh y'all ran into each other?"

"Yes that's what I was coming to tell you during lunch yesterday, but you were busy so I can finally tell you now."

"So Aaron-" I started, but she cut me off right away.

"Oh bitch, what about him?" she snapped, rolling her eyes.

"What? Why the major eye roll?"

"You know damn well why. You're too fuckin nice that's what. You always want to be there for people that wouldn't and haven't done the same for you."

"I know."

"I know, I know, I know. That's what you always say," she said, flagging her hand at me.

"My heart won't let me just be hateful towards people like I sometimes want to be, Tia."

She just shook her head. "Continue with the story."

"So his surgeon was Nate," I continued.

"Shut up! He's a doctor?" she asked, obviously surprised just like I was that day.

I nodded. "He's a doctor and idiot Aaron decided to introduce me as his wife."

"Shut the fuck up," she said and I nodded again.

"I cleared that shit up so quick. So then after talking to you before I left to get something to eat. I walk outside to Nate getting out of his truck."

She gave me a big smile as she said, "Bitch, your pussy made him fall in love."

"Shut up, Tia!" I shouted, laughing.

"Shoot, I'm serious."

"So we had lunch together and once we got past the awkwardness we had a good time with good conversation. Such a good time that I was thirty minutes late returning from lunch. Luckily the rude ass supervisor wasn't there or I wouldn't have heard the end of it."
