"Right... prom," Hayley frowned, completely forgetting about the formal event.

Jasper cocked his head to the side and smiled. "I don't suppose you already have a date, do you?" He asked.

Hayley bit her bottom lip. "Is the Jasper Hale asking me to prom?" She asked.

Jasper chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Hayley and pushed her down onto the bed. "I don't know, would the Hayley Kenner like to be my prom date?" He asked her, resting his chin on top of her head.

Hayley snuggled closer to Jasper, her back pressed up against his chest. "I would love to," she told him.

Jasper smiled as he hugged her torso and kissed her cheek. Hayley smiled and sighed into the embrace, feeling pure bliss and happiness.

"Where's your mascara?" Hayley asked Bella frantically.

Bella temporarily stopped curling her hair to help the dhampir look for her makeup product. The two were currently in Bella's bedroom getting ready for prom together.

"Uh, over there," Bella told her, pointing to the tube of mascara on the ground.

Hayley held up the front end of her red dress and rushed over to grab the mascara. She stood behind Bella to look in the mirror and apply the makeup on her lashes.

"Lipstick?" Bella offered, handing Hayley the tube after she was down with mascara.

"Thank you," Hayley replied as she spread the red lipstick on her lips.

"You look so beautiful, Hayley," Bella complimented.

Hayley smiled as she twisted a piece of Bella's curled hair. "So do you, Bells," she said.

"Girls, your dates are here!" Ellen yelled from the bottom of the stairs, making both girls share wide-eyed looks.

"Help me put my boot on!" Bella said, pointing at the black brace.

Hayley sighed. "You're lucky you're handicap. If you weren't, I'd totally make you dress up more," She told her as she grabbed Bella's boot.

"I guess I'm glad James broke my leg than," Bella mumbled, putting her boot on.

"Oh, shut up," Hayley said with a chuckle as she helped Bella stand up.

The two girls made their way out of Bella's room and down the stairs. Jasper and Edward were at the bottom waiting for them, both dressed in tuxes with corsages in their hands. Ellen and Charlie stood behind the two vampires with adoring smiles as they looked at their daughters.

"Alice lent me the dress," Bella told her dad and Edward. "The cast is..."

"You're perfect," Edward complimented his mate.

Hayley smiled at the two as she squeezed past Bella and made her way to Jasper. The blonde vampire smiled at the girl, taking in her beauty.

"You look.. beautiful," Jasper said, staring at her.

"You don't look too bad yourself, handsome," Hayley said as she ran her hand over his tux.

Jasper smiled. "I'll have her home by 10, Ellen," He told the mother.

Ellen smiled at the two. "You guys just have fun," She told them.

Hayley grabbed Jasper's hand and led him to the door. Edward was already outside, but Bella stayed back to talk to her dad. Charlie informed her that he put a new can of pepper spray in her bag, and that she looked beautiful. Hayley was the glad the two made up after all the terrible things Bella said to him.

"Bye, Charlie," Hayley said before exiting the Swan household.

Being the gentleman that he is, Jasper opened the door of his jeep and helped Hayley out. She smiled widely as she grabbed his and and walked towards the decorated building that the prom was being held in.

"Wow, it's really beautiful," Hayley said, looking up at the building.

Jasper looked over at Hayley and smiled. "It really is," he said.

Hayley looked over at Jasper to see him staring at her, making her playfully hit his arm. "You're such a dork," she told him.

Jasper laughed as he led his date towards the building. They both stopped to take a picture before entering the prom. Loud music played and a disco ball spun around as teenagers danced around, played poker, and laughed. Hayley smiled up at Jasper, who smiled back at her.

The Kenner girl spotted Jessica and Mike posing for pictures and having a good time. Jessica smiled and waved at Hayley when she spotted her, pointing at Jasper with an excited face as well. Hayley smiled back at the girl, motioning to her boobs and giving her a thumbs up before laughing.

Next she spotted Angela and Eric at the DJ booth. Hayley was glad the two were together, she always thought they went well together. Angela offered a large smile and wave at Hayley, which the girl returned.

After seeing all of her friends, Jasper took Hayley by the hand and led her outside. They made their way through the light-filled yard to a small canopy-type thing. Hayley smiled as Jasper grabbed her and spun her around.

"Dance with me?" He asked her.

"Of course," Hayley replied.

Jasper grabbed the girl by her waist, bringing her closer to him as she wrapped her arms around his neck. The two swayed back and forth together, no space left between them as they listened to the music play.

"I never thought I'd be here, dancing with the woman I love," Jasper told her.

"And I'd never thought I'd be here, dancing with the man I love," Hayley said, looking up at him.

"All this time," Jasper shook his head. "I was beginning to think I'd never find you."

Hayley ran her finger over his cheekbone. "I'm sorry I took so long," she told him with smile.

"It was well worth the wait, darling," he said before leaning down to kiss her.

Hayley pulled away from the kiss and wiped Jasper's lips clean of her red lipstick. "I love you, Jasper Hale," she told him.

"I love you more, Hayley Kenner," he replied.

Hayley smiled as she laid her head on Jasper's chest, the vampire resting chin on her head in return. The two stay like that for a long while, simply swaying back-and-forth to the songs that played.

Never wanting to let go.
